Lightbulb P220 FI - Engine stalled while running

It's a dampener...yesterday, I was coming back from B'lore when it happened...I was near to Sri Perumbudur, cruising at a pretty comfy speed of 90KMPH, when the engine suddenly stalled and I had to pull over on the road-side...my initial thought was engine-overheat, as I had enough fuel in tank...so, I flexed my bones and joints, gave the bike a break for few minutes...and then turned the ignition on...whoa!!!it's started and immediately stopped as if engine has lost all the power...tried checking the cables from battery, the A/F screw, opened even the fuel tank lid n tried starting...nothing worked...I called up nearest Bajaj Service centre...one mech came, checked for half an hour and then pushed the bike to the centre...the service centre was closed but still 2 guys struggled for 2 hours, tried few ways to fix it...only in vein...I had to leave the bike and called up the Service centre near to my house, to pick up the bike & get it repaired in my area...any guess what could have caused the problem?

Do check if there is some problem with current leakage somewhere.
If the bike refuses to start, there could be a case of relay shorting.
Or, the roll over sensor could have gone kaput.

How did it feel like when it stopped? Was it like the fuel went off or engine friction? Did your lights go off before the halt??

@JonnyRider - You may want to check out this excellent post. Your issue may or may not have been discussed, but it is worth going through the post.

i faced the same problem with my 220 F and in my case the power was going off all of a sudden on its own and then display went off even in the ignition-on key position.
It was found that the lock was the culprit and the links inside the lock had sulphur in it !
Get the lock checked !

@Praful: you are right. The engine stalled at 90kmph...but the bike was rolling on, so I managed to pull over at road-side

@Mik: that's some lead, I would say. Tomorrow will go to the service centre & ask the mechs.

@Mecho: It felt as if fuel is over...but then I had good amount of it...i wasn't running with lights/console display

@argee: I saw the post from the Bike-Advice, few weeks ago...have now seen once again...my bike behaves close to #13, but even if it stops, I use to switch ON the ignition to start again...it also comes close to #16, only once in 3 years of service did I manage to rip it off till 129KMPH after which the engine was over-heated & shut off

@smoker: all other electricals are still functioning properly...only engine isn't idling...within a second of starting, it's shutting off...as if loosing power due to no fuel...Sulphur is an interesting hint...will try to check if any such thing is there
--------
Latest news of my bike is, the service centre near to my house (the one on GST road, near Chitlapakkam) has brought my bike from Sri Perumbudur shop...tomorrow I will go & check the progress...

Looks like a symptoms of lean too; How about the fuel pump, have you had a chance to service the fuel pump?

IMO, take it to PBK, sit with them, explain the symptoms. All you need is only hearing ears, not deaf & fast working hands.
