Default dnt use kn

i got my bike in feb 2010...been having pleasure on it for 17k kms.i have used kn filter. used it for about 6k kms. trust me since then i have just been going to mechanic to get my bike repaired after every few days. one big problem overheat tried jetting everything i actuly rev the engine very hard always... mileage dropped performance dropped. one fine day came..i saw white smoke coming from exhaust. piston rings gone for six in just 5k kms using kn.i used kn for another 1000 kms and i have removed it. i went to a mechanic in chandigarh he helped me out finally with what i wanted. he installed bigger sprockets at rear. he didnt have smaller for front told me to call after 10 days and installed ngk ix sparkplug installed stock filter but i cut the top of the black cover so now i get much better pickup.i told him to tune for 0 to 80 its 1000times better then kn...i get the sound like before tho not tht more rore but still far better then the stock sound. throttle response is mind blowing. my friends love to do wheelie on my bike they say after bigger rear sprocket this bike can go power wheelie on 2nd gear as well.... what i know it i wasted 1700 for kn 1350 for piston rings repair so much on small repairs and i got much better then all this for 550 ngk ix sparkplug and 600 sprocketing. correct me if iam wrong

what do you mean by this
are you talking about air-box?
btw, instead of going for bigger rear sprocket, front smaller sprocket would have saved you some 500 rupees.

Does changing the Spark plug void warranty?
What all are the mods which can be done in a fz16 which will not hamper the engine life(like the air filter discussed here)?

Sorry if I got anything wrong, my first post.

a little details of my fz
9500 km, mileage around 38-43 now, only xtra premium used, semi synthetic oil
keeps the rear tyre pressure at 36-38 psi normally where 33 is recommended.

Well, I think i can help you all when it comes for FZ16. I owe a 2009 Fzs. I have installed high lift cam from KRP, replaced stock air filter with k&n R-1060, upjetted with 115 main jet and 17.5 pilot jet, removed one washer from needle jet assembly, installed Ngk IX and things worked for me.
There is a little increase in power maybe 0.5 to 0.7 bhp and a hesitation after 8200 RPM approx.
And i know the hesitation is due to stock exhaust which restricts free flow of exhaust gases. This is the main problem with FZ16 when it comes to upjetting.
For that what i did i cut down the stock hose into a lenth of 6''. and then indirectly attached k&N to that instead of attaching it directly to the carb. and also using stock resonator. The bike now hesitates less and at more high RPM at which generally we don't take our bike to.
now i am looking up for full air intake sysytem by K&N.

I have done this. Rest is all up to you.
Fuel efficiency has to drop. Since to yeild more power a better amount of fuel and air mixture is necessary. I am getting an average of 30 -35 kmpl depending upon riding style .

Now if you all are going for Free flow exhaust(FFE) you may switch to higher main jet and pilot jet size, other wise 115 and 17.5 works good.

remember not to do this by yourself, take your bike to a knowledgeble mechanic and get it tuned by him properly.

and i havent faced any overheating problem yet.

i am giving two links where the first video depicts how to properly install and engine sound.
second video is of 0-63 kmph in less than 90 mtrs.
Hope you all enjoy it.
