Problem with my Pulsar Self starter
Have been facing a problem since one month, my pulsar self starter is not working when is in Gear. But still working when I turn it into Neutral. When I took it to the service center, they are saying "problem with self starter chip but they don't have stock now". May I know what might be the exact problem, what is that chip actually? Where can I get it?Tags: None

Re: Problem with my Pulsar Self starter
Query Approved
Are you riding a 220. You should give more information about your ride, when you are posting a query! There are a million billion varities of Pulsars you know!
If it is the 220, then it is clutch switch (can't remember the name though). That switch allows the bike to be started when it realizes that the clutch has been engaged. But if the switch gets spoilt, then it will act as if the bike is in gear and clutch has not been engaged.Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!
Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

Re: Problem with my Pulsar Self starter
I had the clutch switch replaced on my Avenger 200. Luckily I had the spare available at bajaj. The SVC guys wanted me to wait for more than 2hours to have that plugged in.
So purchased it and had it fitted by myself. It costed about 50/-My DIY(s) - Sprocket bearing change | Paint job | Custom speedo dial
Getting angry at somebody is the same as getting angry with a bike that just won't go. You should stop and start thinking.
A good mechanic will let you watch even without charging you for it. |
It is funny to know that we've been imitated and copied so well and surprising when we notice our mistakes are copied as well.

Re: Problem with my Pulsar Self starter
Its Clutch Lockout Switch located under the clutch holder
OT : In my fathers Discover 135 even the bike was in gear Neutral Light blinks on continuously while riding, but if I keep the clutch slightly pressed while riding it doesn't blink what might be the problem
