DATE: 07th Feb, 2010
There will be two meeting places:
1) Maharani Bagh Bus Stop, Just before the DND where the YAMAHA 1 showroom used to be there
TIME: 0700-0730 hrs
2) Petrol Pump Station just after crossing the Old Nizamuddin bridge just after the Metro Flyover. Opposite Mayur Vihar
TIME: 0730-0800 hrs
TOTAL KMs: 100 kms approx
EXPECTED TIME OF RETURN: 1300 hrs
This time RX100 will be maintaining a list of riders with their vehicle registration no. Every members vehicle document will be checked. Though no one would be barred from riding with us if all the papers are not in place but it will be notified on the thread.
Organizers/ People responsible for the ride: RX100 & Shivanshu, will be taking the responsibility collectively.
- According to RX (the statement above), the members who do not have valid papers will not be barred from the ride. But, I strongly feel that such members should NOT be allowed to ride. If they are allowed to ride, this will only prove to an motivating factor for such people.
- However, any member whose document will NOT be in proper, valid order will be infracted/ banned from any online interaction. Please keep this in mind, before doing the ride.
- PLEASE make sure that every member has their vehicle paper in valid order, which will be checked prior to starting the ride. I might or might not join depending on a couple of factors. If I am there, I will check the documents personally, else the people organizing this ride can do so.
- Every rider and pillion will need to wear a lid for the ride, barring which he/ she will be sent back promptly.
- Instead of using social networking websites/ SMSes/ messages/ PMs, etc., please post your confirmations here in THIS thread only. That helps in keeping a tab on the head-count.
Thanks.

The members who do not have valid papers will be barred from the ride. The papers include
1) Vehicle Registration paper
2) Valid PUC certificate
3) Insurance of the Vehicle.
4) Driving License
- Any member whose document will NOT be in proper, valid order will be infracted/banned from any online interaction. Please keep this in mind, before doing the ride.
- All members bike documents and driving license would be checked prior to starting
the ride.
- Every rider and pillion will need to wear a lid riding/protective gear (if any) for the ride, barring which he/ she will be sent back promptly.
- All riders have to abide by his rules; there would be ZERO TOLERANCE LEVEL for any kind of nuisance in this ride.
Few pointers:
- Try to be on time (punctual) because as a group ride the overall average speed would be less, so lets not make it time consuming and tiring.
- Do wear a jacket...not necessarily a riding jacket but make sure its thick and a track lower inside your denims....Both are recommended to avoid chill on highway and to keep you on a safer side in case of a mishap.
- Get the originals as indicated by others...No photocopies/attested photocopies.
- Make sure to keep the "headlights ON" as it helps the rider to see the others riders in his rear view mirror clearly. Slow down if other riders are left behind due to a traffic light, etc
- I suggest a single formation would be good as it helps other vehicles to pass easily.
- Speed of 70-80kmph would be maintained on the open highway, other wise 50-60kmph (city roads other than Delhi as well), depending on traffic/road conditions.
- One important point to share: Keep your eyes open at every crossing that will be there on highway as well as on the rider in front of you.(You may observe some cycle walas, tractors, animals crossing NH24 without noticing the traffic)
- Lastly, fuel and tyre pressure should be done before Sunday itself. Let's not waste time by stopping at petrol bunk.
- The first and the basic rule of any ride are to know your limits. Don’t try to over perform.
- Remember, the group is as fast as the slowest rider of the lot. Don't try to bully someone who is new to all this. You may be a Rossi in the by lanes but definitely don't provoke anyone who is not and who does not intend it otherwise. We had few not-so-pleasant incidents in the past and let's learn from our mistakes.
- If you are inviting other people for the ride, please make sure they follow all the rules of the group while on the road and when with the group. The person, who is inviting any non-Xbhp members for ride, would be responsible.
- All riders who are going on this ride, would kindly make one thing clear, that during the ride, i.e. from starting to end, none of the riders would be changing there bikes with some other rider's bike. One knows his bike well and hence ride your own steed. So no changing of bikes would be permitted in this ride.
- Stretch of NH-24 has very bad traffic sense or I must say no sense at all so please be very careful and don't try to engage in any sort of dragging with any 4-wheelers or any other vehicle. One more thing if you are pushed out of the road, then don't pull the clutch or the brake, just leave the accelerator and concentrate on balancing and you will come up without any difficulty.
