120 000 Spectators!!! That is good capacity. I however doubt if they will be able to fill even a quarter of it! And they cannot either advertise beer nor sell it. Same goes for Marlboro. Where will the revenues come from? TV Ads?
News ApprovedThe Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

Banked corners & also lot of elevation changes...the track layout looks intresting
. But overtaking in formula1
Agreed on the advertising part, but Vijay Mallya & Philip Morris seem to have found a way to advertise their brands, didn't they??.Originally posted by ken cool View Post120 000 Spectators!!! Wow! So finally we have the track design out in public
Will definitely be an exciting racetrack! I love to see those cars climb uphill at 300+ kmph (Spa Francorchamps style)
My views on the YZF-R15 V2.0: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/198...tml#post699240
The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

I was disappointed when I first saw the layout of the track. Then read about Hermann Tilke on Wiki and, rather unsurprisingly, he is also the designer of the track i absolutely HATE! The Shanghai circuit. Elevation near every fast turn? Whats up with that Tilke? I want a TT Circuit Assen

When are they making one of those near mumbai.... now even the northies have a racetrack to ride on (Which eventually will open up for track days..) when are we getting one..Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Why cant they sell Beer there? Here in Mumbai, all the multiplexes showing IPL matches were selling beer openly...Originally posted by ken cool View Post120 000 Spectators!!! That is good capacity. Selling an consumption of any alcoholic beverage in a public place is a punishable offence in our country! If they are doing it without a licence then it is in gross violation of this code and are liable to be penalised.Originally posted by spiderweb View PostWhy cant they sell Beer there? However, if it is being done inside an establishment that has got a beer permit and that has a "number of people" clause to it or a liquor licence which is way more expensive, then they can serve beer without any problems.
But here we are not talking apples to apples. Multiplexes have a 200 spectator capacity or at best 400. Here we are talking 250 TIMES that number read more!
