first pic at Erattupetta. now, why i call this an endurance ride is because of the preparations. i wanted to see how much i'm capable of to help me in longer and much harder tours.



Erattupetta roads are pathetic. it has lots of patches making the road uneven and miserable for a stiff suspension motorcycle like R15



as i said its more of hills and less of civilization all the way from erattupetta

Not that crazy, supernice, curvy racetrack like roads like the Anamala-Athirapilly road, but basic roads to get us to the destination

now, let me show off a bit.








Tried to ride to the top of one of these meadows but the rubber was not designed for that. so dropped the idea.










this is where i got attacked by a vicious 1 inch long leech









vagamon sceneries where over by now. peermedu begins now.



damn camera lens got fogged up from all that rains, the white spot on the center is not mist, but fog on the lens. but found an idea to remove it. works only on small lens point and shoot cameras. turn the camera on and put the entire lens in your mouth and inhale through mouth. within seconds the lens will be clear as usual.



these are the shots from panchalimedu, this place easily qualifies as one of the best places i've ever been to.





it is remote area. most tourists doesnt know about this place and it was almost empty of tourists. and it is such an amazing place. All the pain i took to reach this place was not in vain.

perfect timing, i was lucky enough to see the rain from above it.





overall, it was a yeeehaaawww journey even though i was alone.

now the expenses, filled in with 400 rs worth of petrol on the return journey. now before you think "it was not that inexpensive", i completed the one way ride with just around 4-5 liters in the tank. so on the return journey i filled in with a few more liters than what was required. so overall i covered all that distance(325kms) through mostly hills with around 8 liters of petrol. and it is an r15. overall mileage was around 40km to the liter. the trip took 11hrs and ate or drank almost nothing except for a 200ml juice and a hot coffee to ease the shivering. expenditure on food was just rs 30 and a free apple which i got for lending a hand in fixing a stranded hyundai verna. oh, also another 10 rs for a cigarette lighter. indeed you can do a 300km ride with just rs500 in hand, but do keep more money as a precaution.

but at the end of the day its not the money that matters, but what you have achieved. my batteries where recharged for another month from that ride and nothing matters more than that. At the end of the day i had my neck and back crying in pain, and my body weak 'cause of starvation and thirst. but it just proved the point that i'm physically and mentally capable of much more than i thought.

and it was also a damn misty and cold day. to make things worse rain stated pounding hard when i reached vagamon. it was more of an adventurous trip from there on. couldnt see past 10 feet with the high beams lit. for 30 mins the speedo never saw above 25kmph.

u just took it to an diff level to urself !!! kudos bro & thanks for sharing the pics . Next time pls take atleast an choco bar like 5* it saved time & saves u from running dry .
