Ok. Most of my trips are 1 day trips. But, I stayed overnight in Yercaud.

Accommodation in Sringeri

Recently during my solo road trip to western ghats, I halted in Sringeri for one night.

I stayed at a decent lodge called ' Kanyakumari Lodge'

ACCOMODATION NEAR MOUNT ABU

If someone is riding toward mount abu, the best accommodation you can find at hotel chandravati palace at abu road. Mount abu is just a 30 odd kms from the hotel. Good accommodation as well as food you can easily get at hotel chandravati palace

We were charged Rs2000/- per night for 4 people.
The guy will say its fixed rate and all that is bull shit, bargain hard, if you speak marathi then bargain in marathi and you will get better deal.

If you are interested in party/drinking then ask for rooms with attached terrace, these guys are awesome at arranging drinking parties for guests!

Decent Rooms, Many many facilities, the home stay is on provate estate which is beautiful. Hidden inside the small village of Srimangla behind Nagarhole National Park, this is the perfect place to go to avoid crowds.

We were offered a package of Rs900/- which included 1day+1nigh stay with 5 meals included + boat ride + bonfire. Once again if you do not bargain you will get a bad deal. So please bargain. The lady Sandhya is a 100% professional. Till date this has been one of the best places for accommodation, the food was finger licking good, just mind blowing, very nice hospitality, superb setting just everything was fantastic with these guys.


ACCOMMODATION AT COORG City

Hotel Mayura (KSTDC Hotel)

All info about this hotel can be had from KSTDC web site. Very nice place, you will get a good deal here, around Rs800/- for 2 people which is damn cheap for coorg considering the upper class facilities in this hotel.

Advance booking is a must since such good facilities at such low price means that people target this hotel for accommodation in Coorg.


ACCOMMODATION INSIDE COORG WILDERNESS

This place is 22km inside the wild jungles of Coorg. Absolutely cut off from the world, there is no light at night (they have small generator obviously) there is no cell phone network, heck there isn't even a road leading to this place, we had to offroad 9km on our bikes to reach this place! Well guess what, there are no tourists. If you really want to experience the real beauty of Madikeri Western Ghats then this is the place. Decent Rooms, all facilities like hot water and stuff. Simply mind blastingly good pure home cooked authentic Coorgi Cuisine. Activities include a lot of things, everything is given in the website. And if you hear foxes bark outside your room at night, don't worry that part of the experience.

I have personally stayed at this place and can affirm that all information given in website is correct. If you want to run away from even your own self and get lost in the beauty of Coorg, then this is the place! We had paid about Rs850/- including stay + food + activities per head for 2 nights 1 day stay. damn cheap if you ask me. Hard Bargaining is a must to get good deal.

last month went to goa, and stayed at palolem beach in papillon beach huts. nice huts, excellent food, good service, nice bar, good cocktails, on the beach, so feel like your own beach and papilon is a south goa beach, peaceful, away from maddening crowd, nice place to go with GF/wife to enjoy the beauty of beach and spend quality time, rent a sea facing beach and enjoy. rent a bullet and your holliday is perfect. + 70-80% foreigners only on beach ( you know what i am talking about) and helping and good owner.
