But this is like pushing a 150 to its limits. You can imagine how stressed it will be.

It seems some moderator separated this thread to let it get some attention and judge response.
I think it should be a fine deal at a price point slightly below R15 V2.0's price.

It is expected to have better track handling than CBR250R though.

If someone is expecting to get this at the price of R15 V 2.0, go on keep dreaming. I for one, wouldn't expect it to come to India at all. There is CBR250 for us. CBR150 will cost the same to produce as the tech, components used for these bikes are more or less same. Do you think Honda will price it 30k cheaper than CBR250 after incurring the same cost to make the bike?? highly unlikely.

@ vrugonnab: Maybe but then it might not survive at all.
You for one, will you take such a bike at 1.5L on road, in a time when R15, Duke 200 is already there, will you?

News is given by a reliable Honda insider RECENTLY, so it should be true.

^^ @Samarth, faired bikes are not my cup of tea, I prefer naked ones any day

Even then, in light of Duke 200, this bike wouldn't stand a chance to people like me. My point was, if at all Honda brings this to India, how will they price it around R15 level? after all they spend almost the same amount to put this bike together as that of CBR250. Are they ready to take that kind of hit on margins?? I really doubt that.

This is exactly the reason why we won't get R125/Duke 125 here. They cost the same as R15/Duke 200 to make, but just because of low cc/bhp, you need to sell them at a lower price, which is not viable at all.

But hey, if they manage to price it below 1 lakh, even people like me will take a close look at it, assuming Duke 200/CBR250 are good 35-40k away. In that case, I believe this machine makes a lot of sense.

In case if Honda launches the CBR 150R in India, it will be priced lower than the R15. Say between 90K to 1Lac showroom tag, If they are able to offer a CBR250 for 1.5Lacs price tag then obviously a strip down version of it will cost less by a good margin.

Not sure if the power specs will remain concrete when it arrives here.

I fail to understand what is stripped down version?? only change between CBR250R and 150R is engine size and as a consequence performance figures. Apart from that, there is really nothing to separate them. Look at it the way look at Duke 125 & Duke 200. What's the difference between them?
