So in short P220 and A220 are no longer "probiking" models!

    Yipeeee!

Coz it also means that Probiking will have so new much required 'exclusivity'

About time.Ive always wondered what was so special about the Carb220's(inc. Avy) that the "normal"(non-probiking) mechs couldn't work on.

I hope they can work on Fi Models too.. as the Carbs won't be a problem for them.

Pheww! finally some respite to owners from those Arrogant n irresponsible PBK SVC guys! But now im skeptical abt the Knowledge of the Machines to those who have done the servicing of 180's on a trial n error basis! hope Bajaj ppl have trained them.

Nice strategy from BAL & really commendable. I'm sure this is making way for the new gen Pulsar or probably to get N250R & KTM serviced at PBK. This is what HMSI has to learn from BAL.

Finally!!!. Somehow it was baffling to price these products low and keep them inaccessible to the majority while Zma, Zmr, R15 being sold in smaller cities and towns. This will definitely add to their numbers. A very good move indeed.

It definitely should. The P220 has become now become quite popular.. almost like a mass model.. it makes sense to make it more accessible to the masses.

This will also make the Next Gen Pulsars, Ninja's and the KTM's more exclusive in terms of sales and importantly service (which the Ninja 250R owners are quite happy).

Let me share my experience. I bought the bike from an authorized bajaj dealer as mentioned above, but they dint have any trained mechs for the 220 (fi and carb) and avenger. And apart from the 1st free service rest all were disaster. After each service i had to pay a visit to them again because of some loose screw or some other complaint. After my 1st paid service the connection rod of the gear shifter fell off, that too at top gear. All this bad things just for one reason. The dealer was just 6kms away from home. So i started taking it to a service center where they have separate building for 200,220 and avenger and get it serviced from there. Till now no issues, the only downside is that its 40 kms away from home and i have to reach there early morning to get the early token. But an inconvenience i'm ready to deal with.
So for me this news makes no difference. Just shared my veiw.
                    Peace

I repeat my question. How is it so hard for a mech to work on a 220?I mean what is SO complicated in it?and we are not talking about anything major here!

Well bro, im in no position to answer that question, lack of technical knowledge in that feild , but all i can do is share the experince i had from servicing at an ordinary authorised dealer. And purely based on this reason i cant rely on them. It might be just the lack of experience of the mechs there, but my experience will just keep me away from them.
