I am kinda surprised.I give my 180 for service in a authorised bajaj service center but they also service 220.Infact i see more 220's and 150's being serviced there than 180's.BTW There are porshe, jaguars, audi, bmw etc showrooms in kochi but not even a single PBK showroom in kochi.

For me the Pro-biking service center and Bajaj service center are equidistant. Plus the numbers at the normal service center would be much higher. I am still going to Pro-biking.

This is good. Two years back, i had an accident in roorkee. Called up the bajaj center there and he straight away said " Do sau beess apne yahaan nahi aa sakti.. Dehradun probiking le jaao.. wahi theek karaao" ... all when i had only asked him to do minor tweaks.
On a different note: Most mechanics are clueless about Fi and its multitude of sensors. It would be better to stick to probiking for the Fi owners.

            Dear Lord...

Please let this mean better things for the Avenger

(i.e. a new model with Kawasaki tech and atleast a 300 cc engine. I would not complain if a 400 cc cruiser comes along )

Avenger has been neglected by Bajaj for long.. Time for a brand new cruiser for India.

That had happened more than a year ago when i got my P220 from an authorized bajaj showroom, as there are no PBK dealerships in Chhattisgarh.

i was told by bajaj pbk in kolkata that the mechanics for 220 are specially trained. and i know that the pbk and all the bajaj service centre are vendors and they will compete with each other to keep the customer so i believe that the service quality will improve..
but one major thing is concering me that WILL THE NON PBK SERVICE CENTRE BE AS TRAINED AND QUALIFIED AS PBK AS THEY SERVICE BIG BIKES LIKE NINJAS TOO, WILL BAJAJ PROVIDE ASSURANCE REGARDING THAT OR WILL THE NON PBK BE AUTHORISED TO SERVICE NINJA TOO? IF THIS IS SO I CAN BE ASSURED THAT MY BIKE WILL BE AT GOOD HANDS WHEN I TAKE IT TO A NON PBK SERVICE CENTRE OR ELSE I WILL STICK TO PBK. i think this will play in owners mind.

Unless I'm mistaken we're talking P's and A's and not N's! So I guess it means you hold your horses (Ninjas!) for now!

I think the domestic sales of Bajaj is a matter for concern, it sold less than 1/2 of Hero Moto. Both TVS and HMSI are closing in on Bajaj numbers from behind. This move may add few hundred numbers to Bajaj's sales.
P/A220 are just 4S bikes they don't need any special training.

And apart from the 1st free service rest all were disaster. After each service i had to pay a visit to them again because of some loose screw or some other complaint. After my 1st paid service the connection rod of the gear shifter fell off, that too at top gear. All this bad things just for one reason. The dealer was just 6kms away from home. So i started taking it to a service center where they have separate building for 200,220 and avenger and get it serviced from there. Till now no issues, the only downside is that its 40 kms away from home and i have to reach there early morning to get the early token. But an inconvenience i'm ready to deal with.
So for me this news makes no difference. Just shared my veiw.
                        Peace

well same here have to go 38 kms away from home to get my p220 serviced from an authorised dealer.i never go to the pbk for servicing as the nearest one is 110kms away..

                          I m shocked y it was not before !

Now I recall my cousin used to take appointment for service of his Avenger in Hyd. Was thinking that SVC must b too popular and very good in service for this "appointment".

In a way good news. Now I can think of Ninja and KTMs with better service.
                          I do blog.
