Post MO2OR offering unique experience allowing bikers to design the bike.

New British motorcycle project launches.

MO2OR offering unique experience allowing bikers to design the bike.

A FLEDGLING British manufacturer is attempting to create a truly unique motorcycle company – one that allows riders to design their own bikes.

Named MO2OR, the new company is hoping for contributions from potential customers to provide the specification of what would be their ‘dream motorcycle’, the spec with the most entries will eventually go into production.

The development process is split into four phases, each section allowing riders to add their input.

Founder, Steve Pritchard said: “This is a truly exciting project for MO2OR to start, we wanted to empower riders to come up with ideas for their next motorbike”

“We are a small group of passionate bikers, who feel the current range of motorbikes, lack customer input and are developed purely for profit”

The input stages will also see submissons from eager engineers to design the bike as part of a competition, with which riders will vote for the winner.

“We will begin with finding out what riders want from the basics, from engine capacity to suspension. At the end of September we will compile the data and have one motorbike with the majority of riders wishes to ride.”

“This is just the beginning of what we want to achieve and we need motorbike riders from all experience levels to provide their input.” concluded Pritchard.

All MO2OR bikes will go through this level of rider feedback and the company hopes to build upon a launch model with a range of products.

Seems like an interesting proposal, what would be your dream bike?

My idea would be that of a 600cc fully faired sports bike which should churn out even more horses than the present 600cc class bikes and should be much better in handling and the rider's position. Something to beat the CBR 600RR! (which is probably the best moto 2 bike ever manufactured)

250CC 4 cylinder please, more than enough for city and highway here.

Naked won't do, please help with faired

Oh btw, CBR 250RR will do just fine, if you can renew one and give it to me

Great initiative. Wish we had similar stuff here. Atleast our manufactures can do a survey about what we want

The moment you have been waiting for, the 3 final dream motorbike specs are below. Based on your feedback and support we have been able to list 3 very unique motorbikes and will now open the "Design a motorbike competition".

A naked single seat Cafe Racer with a 4-stroke 800cc injected V-Twin engine, Under Seat exhausts, Trellis frame, double sided swingarm, Mono-shock rear suspension, clip-on handlebards, fully adjustable upside down forks, Analogue dash with fully adjustable rear-sets.

A naked dual seat Street Bike with a 4-stroke 800cc injected V-Twin Engine, Under slung exhausts, Trellis Frame, single sided swingarm, Mono-shock rear suspension, one piece handlebars, fully adjustable upside down forks, Analogue + Digital dash with fully adjustable rear-sets.

A fully faired single seat Superbike with a 4-stroke 1000cc injected straight four, Under seat exhausts, Monocoque frame, single sided swingarm, Mono-shock rear suspension, clip-on handlebars, fully adjustable upside down forks, full digital dash with fully adjustable rear-sets.

Can i take this opportunity to thank you for filling out your dream motorbike spec and if your dream bike is not listed above, then don't despair voting on the one which is close or one you like the look of will really help us to develop the World's first crowdsourced motorbike.

This is only the start of achieving our goals, we have a lot of work ahead of us and your continual input and feedback is still needed.

Regards

MO2OR Team
