Actually no other manufacturer is involved. Mv agusta is going solo. May be an Indian dealer agency is involved.

MV Agusta to come to India

It’s confirmed, MV Agusta, the famous Italian motorcycle maker with a rich racing heritage aims to enter the Indian two-wheeler market as early as within a few months from now in 2012. The initials MV stand for Meccanica (mechanic in Italian), Verghera, the Italian city where the very first MV Agusta bikes were built, and this distinguished company ranks amongst the world’s foremost makers of seductively styled, premium superbikes.

MV Agusta acknowledges the growing potential of the Indian two-wheeler market, with CEO, Giovanni Castiglioni (son of biking legend Claudio Castiglioni) and Commercial Director, Umberto Uccelli being firmly committed from the helm of their company to commencing sales in India soon, being aware that several rival European manufacturers like BMW Motorrad, KTM (with Bajaj) and Ducati already have head-starts and are on their way to establishing Indian foundations. The heavyweight Italian bike maker foresees the Indian premium bike market as set for sizeable growth over the next few years.

Having recently entered other markets, including Australia, Canada, Brazil as well as China, MV Agusta are already well on their way to setting up shop in India. Various options are on the table, but MV Agusta is likely to grab their initial toe-hold here by commencing direct import of bikes as CBU’s (Completely Built Units) in 2012, while pondering ways to leverage the lower duty structure offered to manufacturers willing to explore motorcycle assembly on our shores.

No, MV Agusta is unfortunately not confirmed to be showing its motorcycles at the Indian Auto Expo in January 2012, but we can find cheer in the announcement they have already performed an in-depth evaluation of our market and realize their 4-cylinder as well as 3-cylinder bikes have great potential, so Indian enthusiasts can expect to see no less than the complete MV Agusta model line-up when sales begin.

Expect the handsome, naked bike Brutale family including the Brutale 920, Brutale R 1090, Brutale RR 1090, and spanking new Brutale 675 (numbers denoting engine capacity), apart from the sleek four-cylinder, 998cc F4 (192bhp) and F4 RR (198bhp), as well as three-cylinder, 675cc F3 superbikes.

As around the globe, MV Agusta motorcycles can be expected to sport premium price tags in India, but being able to see these exclusive European sportsbikes, and hear their glorious exhaust tones is certain to tempt an elite few Indian bike enthusiasts, who will already know that MV Agusta are for superbikes, what Ferrari is to supercars.

MV Agusta F3 begins production

Behind the scenes on the MV F3 assembly line

Video Link:http://youtu.be/usELFp0zc6QMV

MV AGUSTA has begun production on their new F3 and the Italian manufacturer has released a video demonstrating how the 1,200 components come together to create the 675cc supersport machine.

Describing the process behind the assembly line, which has been designed by Porsche Consulting AG, the MV press release states: "Each F3 is composed of about 1,200 pieces, checked one by one before, during and after installation to ensure the compliance of the quality, assembly accuracy and function.

"The engine, a 675 cc in-line three cylinder, utilizes the unique solution of a counter-rotating balance shaft. This innovation solution neutralizes the forces of inertia of the motorcycle, enhancing the handling by reducing the effort to change direction. During the assembly process it is subject to continuous tests which include, for example, the electronic verification of all of the tolerances. Each
step is recorded so that all the dimensions remain under full control. At the end of the assembly line each of this unique three-cylinder engines are subjected to the tests on the test bench: hot firing cycle, warm-up period and then they are subject to tests of power and torque. Each engine is tested for thirty minutes. And only after the successful completion of this test can the engine be transferred to the vehicle assembly-line where it is mated with the beautiful trellis frame complete with sideplates fabricated from aluminum alloy.

"The tightening torque of the nuts, screws and bolts are recorded by a data management system that stores and encodes the information of each item to allow the traceability of each F3 produced. Everything moves along the assembly line according to the principle of "just in time", which becomes reality in the form of kits that are hooked–up to the same assembly line and providing all the necessary parts to the operators at just the right moment."

I had seen both of the above videos a few days ago and they are just awesome. It looks better than any other 600-750 cc currently in the market. If only MV does not price it so steep. Anyone know if and when it is coming to India??

The first batch of MV's supersport bikes hit UK shores

http://s1.visordown.com/uploads/imag...inal/46966.jpg

MV AGUSTA'S F3 is starting to trickle into the hands of UK dealers.

The first 30 machines have arrived at UK importers MotoGB. All the bikes are spoken for and another two shipments are expected in the next month to cover all back orders.

On the bike's launch, many of the assembled journalists complained about the bike's fuelling. Steve Oliver of UK importers MotoGB says: “An improved fuel map which - will be ready to download at official MV Agusta UK dealers within three weeks – will improve a fantastic package still further. This new engine map will give the F3 even smoother idling and improved performance at low to medium revs.”

Got a chance to sit & pose on one in the New York MC Show in January.

It looks stunningly beautiful in person and is very light weightwise.
