Hero MotoCorp (HMC) announced that they will be launching three new products for the festive season in 2013.
2 out of the 3 new products are expected to be in the 100-125cc category. The third product is expected to be a scooter. After almost a year of no new launches, HMC has finally decided to hit the market with three new products.
HMC will be depending a lot on the success of these launches, with their declining sales and profits taking a toll on the company. A very aggressive Honda is also the competition that Hero wants to thwart. Bajaj has also lined up a bevy of launches for this year. The company will have to market aggressively to retain its No. 1 position in the years to come. Even struggling TVS has tied up with BMW to come up with new motorcycles in the 250-500cc market.
