It was clear to most of us that stock FZ16 was already over priced and what Yamaha is doing here is re-confirming n re-affirming it by launching same bike with higher and higher price tags.
And all of us also know that FZ is a really good bike .. so will be the fazer.

People here don't care if their bike has more power or not! They will only care about flash and bling. And hence this Fazer will sell.

Why will this bike sell in good numbers:
1-It has big fairing,
2-It has big tank,
3-big tyre,
who cares about BHP unless and until i look good?[ or until a P220,R15 passes by ]

Over priced??? I don't think so. IMO yamaha is following honda.

Evrybdy knows what honda did when they launched Stunner PGM-Fi which is 14k costlier than stock Stunner! Now, thats called OVER PRICED in real sense...

Yamaha is doing the same by introducing this bike with the fairing sans Fi and i think if stunner is doing good than Fazer can do the same...

so we can say that the new Fazer is the "Stunner" among other 150cc bikes...

dost... atleast the FI is a performance upgrade which COMPARED to the previous stunner will improve performance and mileage both.......

now...... i dont go on people 's talks so i am waiting to see the real spec sheet of fazer
if its has the same specs as FZ..... then
its completely crap
the semi fairing increases weight......
and the same engine........ hence lower performance than even the FZ....
lower mileage

yamaha and honda are doing daylight robbery .... only if anyone can see it .. he / she will surely realize it that it will not be a worthy buy

and if they tweak the engine
then the above things dont apply

but anyways both companies are simply robbing us........
i dont know how mad can a guy be if he does not even apply his common sense
but then i have heard the common sense is not very common

lets see the calculation
now remove the carb from glamour or stunner...... it will reduce the making price to 3-4k ,,,,, ( course for the companies it must be costing less..... just for calculations sake ) and they have charged 14 k more the FI version

so in all.... they are asking a price of 17 - 18 k more for making a bike fuel injected ........ lol

but still i see those FI bikes selling...... and so will the fazer sell
will not be a surprise for me

the best speculation on xbhp would be to predict when will common people have some sense ,,,, and wake up

i agree on these companies committing a daylight robbery. i think the fazer and stunner fi are really overpriced. i would rather go for a bigger and faster bike at the same price.

The Pulsar hardly has anything to be called as 'fresh' ditto for the RTR...

The ones who would go for Pulsar and RTR would be for specific individual traits that these bikes carry....

P180 = 69-70K OTR pune
Fazer - 80-81k (touted)

Is there any direct competition...............

I suppose you meant karizma....?

and for sure that would not be a Honda...............

We all have seen the P200, P220...ofcourse there will be a class of people who would want to buy the Pulsar
- because of its 200 looks,
- because of its 'new' motor
- because its cheap

So much for the RTR, people would go for it for the bit of new jazz, and some for the new motor (might include me ) but think about it, how many people like that?

How much is the FZ priced for?
Why is it eating Pulsar 180 and 200s share?

Why does FZ S also sells like hot cakes....? The fact of our market is that we 'so-called' performance seekers etc are grossly outnumbered!!!
Does that help clarify?
And No Sir, I mean Pulsar!

Exactly...Read my post it says the same just a line below.... !

The current positioning of the bikes is what makes it worse for the P180s

The P180 is (re)positioned solely with its 200 looks....

The A180 is positioned as 'sought-after' upgrade from the proven 160... its like a 'new' bike altogether....

The FZ is positioned with its stunning looks.... so the area of competition is intense with all other bikes which are relying heavily on the 'looks' aspect!

Practically in all sense both are just 180CC bikes, but look how the TVS180 is having so much hype around it, unlike the Pulsar180!

Yes. The RTR 180 feels more exciting than the P180 UG4 makeover.

Coming back to the topic, the so called "Fazer" whose OTR price is expected to be in league of the Zma, makes no sense, to me atleast.

People might go for it only for the 'poser' looks.
