As we have reported earlier, Mahindra is on a roll, chalking out new strategies and identifying new avenues for the two-wheeler market. The company kicks off their aggressive expansion plans in India this month with the introduction of not one but probably two new models simultaneously come September 10th.

Details are being kept under wraps but it is speculated that the new products will probably be new gearless scooters developed in conjunction with their new Italian collaborators Grafica Ricerca Design S.r.l. The company is also looking at exciting new two-wheeler for the urban youths but are concentrating on the SYM brand for now.

Kinetic was always strong with Scooters... what made you think that Mahendra would bring something that they have no expertise with?

The way I see it is Mahendra will first want to mint some quick money (and\to rope in dealers and distributors) using such fast moving low competition and easy on wallet products....

Then may be into decent bikes for brand building... Importing Hyosung Bikes did more damage to Kinetics reputation than it actually helped... think from an unbiased mind.... would you buy a bike that Kinetic produced all by themselves?

PS: I would love to join Mahendra & Mahendra for the two wheelers marketing!!!
