@n_sandy, I think your city has a very good bag maker, after taking a left from clock tower while coming from city palace. He is in front of that big neem tree. I think he will be able to get you a good saddle bag. See, a saddle bag is nothing but two same bags tied together with a strong cloth to sit on. SO no rocket science. You should be able to draw the basic drawings after taking basic measurements like seat length, distance of silenser from the seat etc, and make a saddle bag in less than 1000rs.
As you are accompanied by wife, you will definitely have more luggage. I suggest you to buy a Studds Mustang tankbag (NOT the cramster or any other), because this tankbag is extendable, so it gives you good carrying capacity. One big tankbag + one saddlebag is enough for carrying two persons clothes for cold, as it did in my Rajasthan trip. |

Leh Ladakh in August 2010 - not just riding but experiencing I am going there in Aug end/Sep start, so sorry, can't join you in July! However, there are some groups here on xbhp going in july, may be you could find them and join them
