The last time we planned to ride to Coorg, we ended up riding all the way to Wayanad. (http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/1...ll-coffee.html)
So the urge for Pandi Curry and Coffee beckons us again and its time to head to Coorg, the Scotland of India.
The best part of this ride is that we have folks joining us from Chennai and Tirupur as well.
Here is the plan.
Depart from Bangalore: April 2nd, 2011 (Saturday)
Agenda: Ride to Coorg, overnight stay on April 2nd (Sat) and April 3rd (Sun).
Return: Morning of April 4th (Mon) from Coorg.
Please note : Its a holiday for some of us on account of Ugadi, hence staying over on sunday night too.
Initially i was thinking of a 1 night stay but it would be too short for the Chennai gang, plus with only one evening, sightseeing and exploration of the district would be sacrificed. Hence a 2 night stay.
As of now, here are the confirmed riders.
1. Sunnyside up - Ninja 250R (Chennai)
2. Xinfii - Ninja 250R (Chennai)
3. karthiktup - Yamaha R15 (Chennai)
4. n_aditya - Ninja 250R (Bangalore)
5. Alok - Ninja 250R (Bangalore)
6. Rajiv - Ninja 250R (Chennai)
Ark (Reggie) is yet to confirm his entry.
I have made a booking at The Nest (www.coorgthenest.com).
April 2nd Saturday -- 2 rooms available and booked.
April 3rd Sunday -- 1 room available and booked (+ living room for 2 pax in the main house booked).
Each room accommodates 2 people + 1 (extra bed). I have asked for mattress etc. for more people which will be provided.
In all probability the Chennai folks will stay over at Bangalore and we will be riding to Coorg together on Apr 2nd.
Please let me know who else is confirmed (100%) so i can make arrangements.
Oh yeah, tarriff is 3k per couple inclusive of all meals, evening coffee/tea and snacks.

and then ride out with the Bangy boys on the 2nd. Leave Coorg on the 4th and crash again in Bangy or Krishnagiri on the 4th before returning home.
