Congrats, biru bhai. The last log i read about rann of kutch was of pankaj trivedi, another hard core solo tourer like yourself. Waiting for the log, please do share info on the challenges you came across on this unique terrain...

                  Day 2 - Viramgam - Kharaghoda - Kuda - Dhrangadhra - Nal Sarovar - Bagodra - Vadodara - Vapi

                  Odo - 680 Kms

We planned to get the glimpse of the Sunrise on the other day.But since we were very tired due to the night ride we did on the other day.So we started bit late for Kharaghoda.

                  Beautiful-Empty state highways

And the species and the National park for which this place is famous.

In an hour or so we reached Kharagoda from where the Little Rann of kutch started.Till the end of your eyesight all you can see is bland, brown and flat surface.

We quickly entered the Saline Dessert Plaine and it was time for some Posergiri

We moved ahead to explore more. Also couldn't see any wild asses around, for which this place is famous .We just followed the tyre marks, many time we got stuck as we had no idea which direction to go and which tyre mark to follow.

At one point we thought we are completely lost. And then saw a Salt pane nearby.Reached to the workers and asked them

"Yaha Gadha dekhne ko kaha milega"
They smiled and said "aage jhadiyon wala jungle he waha milenge"

One of the lady there generously asked for water and Tea.We had the water but we refused for the tea as we were already burning in the immense heat of Rann.Thanked them and moved towards the direction they pointed.

                  Fresh Salt

Pretty soon we spotted the Grassland they were talking about. We reached there and park our bikes and went inside for some Wild Ass Adventure.

                  Posing with my ex-sweetheart

We walked..We walked..We walked and after around 30 mins we spotted a herd of Wild Ass'es.It was our lucky day .

We followed this to save ourselves from getting lost.

                  And here are they

Fellow rider Ankit scared them from behind so that they can leave the Grassland and come into the open area. Of course for some close shots other than that i don't know what Ankit had in his mind. :P

So finally all the Wild Asses were in open and we clicked quite a few shots. suddenly Ankit started his bike and ran after them.I shouted 'Dude atleast leave these lovely creatures alone'.But he didn't listened at all.

After taking lot of photos we moved ahead towards Dhrangadhra.

                  TO BE CONTD !!

                  Cheers

Reach Ahemdabad - Viramgam - Kharagoda..From Kharaghoda onwards Little Rann starts.Ask local junta for pointers to these places.

A crash on d road may kill d biker n d bike, but d relationship btwn d bike n d biker never dies.
