Default Solo Road Trip : Malshej

Its my first post on xbhp ... so it wont be upto the mark with other triplogs ...

Am fond of road trip, always planing for one with friends but unfortunately we dont have bikes few have scooter/activa which we can't take

So bought my dream bike KARIZMA R - White ( my WHITE ANGEL ) in April 2011

The Trip Log :

FIRST TRIP :-

Place :- Malshej Ghat - Heaven during mansoon ...

Date :- 21st July 2011

Distance :- 125 km

Route :- NH3 & NH222

Time :- It took me 2 hrs to reach the destination

My Experience :-
The ride was awesome ... when i left the city area (Kalyan ) the road is beautiful with greenery, its a single lane road with no traffic ... and less potholes ... you can easily ride above 80 kms and can take sharp turns as roads are clean !!!
Drove at 110 kmph on that singe lane road.

When i reach malshej ghat, its B E A U TIFUL ... lots of waterfall and cold breeze .. for a moment i resist to drive further as am not able to see the road ahead because of the clouds less then 10 meters visibility but when i saw other vehicle comming out from that clouds i started riding into the clouds !!!

One of my fav. pic ... The White Angel & the Mountains covered with clouds

The waterfall in the left defeats the gravity, water is actually going up !!!

As i have told you , less then 10 meter visibility coz of clouds

SECOND TRIP :

Place :- Dabhosa waterfall ( near Jawahar, Maharashtra )

Date :- 28th July 2011

Distance :- 150 km

Route :- NH3 & Old Mumbai-Agra Road ( worst road )

Time :- It took me 3hrs and 30 minute to reach Dabhosa waterfall

My Experience :-

The waterfall is huge ... 300 ft. tall ... you can see the pics ...

During this trip i was lost which took me so long to reach ... but i dont regret it coz of the scenic beauty ... pics will tell you everything.

Dabhosa WaterFall

THIRD TRIP :

Place :- Daman ( Beach )

Date :- 22nd August 2011

Distance :- 180 kms

ROute :- NH3 & NH8 ( NH8 is awesome road, 3 lane road . just woow , best NH !!! )

Time :- It took me 2hr 30 min to reach daman.

My Experience :-

Daman is a nice place to visit, you can get cheap liquor , same rate as in goa as its come under union territory ...

I just love the ride as i wasnt expecting national highway to be 3 lane ( one side ), so i was cruising above 100 kmph for the whole ride ...

Visited 2 beaches in daman
1:- Devka Beach - rocky beach & black sand, you can sit on rocks and relax. its quiet out there with sound of wave...you can actually relax over there ... but yeah you cant get into water as its dirty ...
2:-Jampore Beach - its similar to devka beach but without the rocks

Devka Beach

Jampore Beach

Nice pics. I've been to malshej, have to go to the other two locations. By the way, why did you get lost during your trip to the falls? Is the route not very clear? If so, do spare sometime to explain the route in detail so that it would be easy for the others.

yeah sure ... Dabosa Waterfall & the Daman , both are very good place ...

For dabosa waterfall you have to make way from

NH3 --- towards bhiwandi --- then catch the old mumbai agra road --- reach wada --- jawahar ( i get lost over here only ... ) -- then to the falls ...

you can get the directions to reach jawahar from google map but to reach waterfall you have to ask from local public ... as the road is not mapped on map ...

In Jawahar there is signage for Dhabosa and you shouldn't have problem finding it except a crossroad which doesn't mention what goes where! Other than that, the route is clearly marked (though not on google maps).
