Day 3: Jog Falls-Kargal-Nagavalli-Bhatkal-Kundapur-Udupi

Phata phat get ready for the ride to the beaches. Decided to take the Jog-Kargal-Bhatkal route instead of the longer Jog-Honnavar-Bhatkal road through the forest. The initial few kilometers after Kargal are scenic post that the road quality deteriorated but was very much ride able.

Post Kargal

Tried getting a peep into Linganamakki but the guards refused to give entry. Passed through a small village where we fed ourselves with delicious dish of Dosa curry for breakfast. After riding for about 20kms under vibrator mode or so we reach Nagavalli Check post. Stop there to get few snaps after passing through step cultivated grasslands. This place was so calm and peaceful, so silent that we were very resistant to leave this beautiful place.

Finally we reach Malpe to have a late lunch. The person at the reception immediately recognizes me and with a smile asks how many rooms we wanted this time (reason: we had a group booking the last time). Dump the entire luggage in the room, and head down for the restaurant for lunch. Humidity was piling up with every minute passing by. Later in the evening, once we reached the beach to view the sunset, was surprised by the number of people around on a weekday. Spent some quality time seeing the sun surrendering to the waters of the Arabian Sea.

Day 4: Udupi-Karkala-Kudremukh-Kalasa-baalehole-Baalehonnur-Aldur-Chikmagalur-Belur-Hassan-Kunigal-Bangalore

Phani- I am so nostalgic now reminds me of so many rides , so many ....

Nice to see those places again and I am sure you enjoyed the Zma every single mile ... I am presently on like a EXILE from biking as I am away from India and I am seriously looking forward to re-living those days of Touring once I am back ...Anyhow about the log...

I am sure stretch thro Kudremukh national park was mind blowing , I just love that place ...(like Ooty to Gundulpet via gudlur -amazing tarmac awesome scenary and lots of FUN!)

Belur-Hassan-Mysore is one of those places where one can experience- like u said "racetrack" kinda feel but I guess u touched hassan and diverted towards Bangalore but the Hassan-Mysore too is as good as Belur-Hassan with its curves and straights and etc etc .. I keep telling this to everybody who comes to hassan from Bangalore and takes the road to Belur . Cant stop from recommending Mysore-Hassan stretch

I couldn't do the Mangalore part on bike, but I did it with few friends in a car and I would recommend you to check out the stretch from Shimoga to Agumbe - " beautiful "..... I am sure during or at the end of this trip, you guys would have thought , hmmm may be we should do that stretch next ... hence my inputs to that trip ..its always like that with us " abhi yeh khatam nahi hua hoga , next ride ki planning shuru "

Last month missed out on Kudremukh, so was hell bent on do this before it stops raining. You guys log intensified the frustration of missing out on it
