@vivek: its the ZMA's home country. The bikes performed flawlessly. The first half of the journey got a not so good FE of 29 kmpl or so until the guy @ the HMC service center made his magic work on my ZMA , then i got very good FE of 45kmpl
the ZMR gave a consistent FE of 45 kmplthoughout. No questions can raised about the handling and comfort, it was bang on

I took Chitradurga-Bhadravathy-Thirthahalli & some roadless roads to KollurOriginally posted by phanikar View PostYeah more pics on the way Aargee
From where do you want to know about Bhadravathi road conditions ???
; was so sick of that!!! The suspensions on my car are permanently disabled due to that offroading!!!

Thanks ArunOriginally posted by aarunn View PostNice pics and log

there is nothing like no roads anywhere, its just if you are willingly wanna go off roading, then you can stretch the leg, apart from that the rest of the route is very much "rideable" if not "driveable"Originally posted by aargee View PostI took Chitradurga-Bhadravathy-Thirthahalli & some roadless roads to Kollur

we did most of the stretch except for chitradurga to bhadravathi in the last ride, it was supergood

^^^ Ok, so which means you guys didn't take Thirthahalli-Kollur + Chitradurga-Bhadravathi. That's one hell, not even bikes will take it; imagine riding/driving at 20-30 Kmph for over 200 Kms with few Kms of good stretches in between.
My timings were something like...Chennai - Chitradurga in 6:30 hours & the remaining 8 hours spent to travel only from Chitradurga to Kollur!!! Check the map if possible, you'll almost not find any roads from Thirthahalli to Kollur!!!
I was interested to see if they've laid the road from Chitradurga-Bhadravathy-Thirthahalli.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

Chitradurga to bhadravathi , not very sure, but we took thirthalli - Nittur(not very far from -kollur) in the night on two wheels. Bhadravathi-Shimoga=good roads. From shimoga you can take the sagar-hosanagara route beautiful roads except for few kilometers around sagar.and yeah you dont find most roads on the electronic mapsOriginally posted by aargee View Post^^^ Ok, so which means you guys didn't take Thirthahalli-Kollur + Chitradurga-Bhadravathi. moreover it was not as worst as permanently damaging the suspension in the recent years, unless you have mistook a turn

I am from Bhadravathi,
Although Bhadravathi-chitradurga route is ok( not too good but not bad either)
But the Bhadravathi-Shimoga-Thirthahalli route is awesome.
B-S super duper newly laid 4 lane
S-T Smooth well laid highway with scenic beauty all the way till thirthahalli
@Phanikar Nice log there brother and the photos are just spectacular.. Been there to all those places(not on bikes though) and i know the photos doesn't do justice to the scenes especially of Kuduremukh.

You are very true, pics don't do justice to the place. Its in a way good that these places are not as commercialized as in KL.The true beauty of the place still exists, and yeah thankfully even the mining stopped
