Default Guidance Required - Rajasthan de Tour

Hello everybody,
Please suggest some mods if suitable in the below plan. I have never crossed into the royal territory of Rajasthan and I don't really know if this plan would be a success, but for sure it is gonna see the daylight. Please share some of your inputs also.

Tour Time:Near about the first week of March

Route: Pune-Indore-Ratlam-Chittorgarh-Bhilwara-Ajmer-Jodhpur-Mt.Abu-Rann of kutch-Ahmedabad-Surat-Pune

Riders: 3-4

Queries :
  • How are the roads on this route? I have heard that Rajasthan roads are super-smooth 4lanes complete empty straight arrow head roads.
  • How much time will this tour possible might consume? As it is roughly around 3000kms, will 8 days be enough for this ?

Make it 12-15 days if you want to be comfortable and avoid fatigue. Yes, most of the highway roads are super smooth, but "near the cities" roads are average...
6/4 lanes are present in some places, and somewhere its 2 lanes road only. But traffic should not be a problem.

Weather can be mighty hot, even in March. Avoid heavy clothing.

Also, I suggest you make a relaxed tour rather than a "rush-rush for riding only". I mean, stop at few cities for 1 day each city, go to some tourist places, and continue your journey next day. After all, who knows when you'll get to visit those cities again in life so you should utilize it to the fullest?

Anything else you want to know? You can meet me at Ajmer if you stop here.

i visited last year, March is quite hot in day timing, try to make it in Mid Feb.
You must Add Jaisalmer & Sam Sand Dunes, Its the best place to visit in Rajhasthan.
I Covered Delhi-Jaipur-Ajmer-Jodhpur-Pokhran-Jaisalmer-Bikamer-Delhi in 5 Days, Roads were in best conditions except 40-50Km between Jodhpur-Pokhran.

You are missing a lot of Rajasthan! 8 days are really short. Don't miss Jaisalmer at all. Refer the following map:

Jaipur, Rajasthan to Jaipur, Rajasthan - Google Maps

Jaipur - Bikaner - Jaisalmer - Jodhpur - Ranakpur - Mount Abu - Udaipur - Ajmer/Pushkar - Jaipur

Starting and ending at Jaipur, this basically covers pretty much all the tourist spots. Now you decide which ones you want to visit, and plan accordingly.

I would suggest that if it is possible, go by train with your bike as luggage. In rajasthan itself, you travel around 2000kms on superb roads. You can save much of your energy if you go by train. If not, then try to cover most of the triangle.

1. Dont venture into MP
2. YOU can do Pune - Mt Abu in One day, but your co riders wont be able to do so
3. March is THE MOST wrong time to go there (or for that matter the Rann)
4. Rajashtan is a big state, infact THE biggest state in India. 8 days for it is insufficient
5. Plan a better trip may be a chunk of it, or as Animeher suggested cut the travel time by using a train etc

You might want to visit Bhangarh instead!
