  • Q: Fourteen days in hand and where to ride?

Buffer in hand is one day to make up in-case of delays held up in the journey

Would like to take an opportunity to visit everyone in their respective cities or enroute I pass & affix the face behind those handles that we see here everyday.

Last but not the least, if I've to put off the ride, then, pls join along with me to swear my bosses!!!

Sounds good Praful; but, I'm not prepared, besides I don't have a company at the last moment now for 2 weeks

Are you not mentally prepared? Or is your bike not prepared to take the beating?

Other stuff don't take much time to get prepared!

              Hey Aargee!
One suggestion.. take udaipur-jaipur-agra-kanpur-allahbad-varanasi route, fantastic roads plus it will save you at least one day. Trust me Delhi-Varanasi is a bad stretch and not possible to cover in a day.

I guess riding is the main itinerary and not visiting places. I have no doubt CBR would be happy to serve you, But a word of caution - Not to dehydrate yourself in the hot weather up north.

Day 8 / 9 / 10 / 14 - These days are little tough. Owing to the weather. Its already hot and steamy in Delhi (& North India) - Make sure you stop the very moment you feel tired and take up lots of juices and water in between stops.

My suggestion would be to visit one zone at a time (maharashtra or Andhra or Ladakh or even East India) and spend the 14 days wisely.

Well, I WANT to visit Delhi to meet up few people & I'm not interested visiting any place without family or friends.

Let me see how things go JD; Already few friends are beginning to influence me on changing my plan from Delhi towards Leh. Though I was more keen on GQ, things are subject to change. So I'll take a call after reaching Delhi. As I approach Delhi, I'll get in touch with you & other friends.

^^ Bear in mind that its raining here, and the weather is extremely un predictable. i would suggest a GQ first.

Well doing Delhi to Varanasi in a day is cakewalk however bad the weather. Rain, humidity, sunshine - no probs. But once you cross Kanpur towards Allahabad, then you should keep in mind that people are going to be less friendly and more aggressive. And I see you are from Chennai, that means you better take even more precaution, because guys out here are rather small minded and extremely racist. So be careful in this sector. Also Varanasi- Kolkatta is not the safest route either, especially alone.
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!
