Delhi>Rohtang>Delhi-Nov 7-10, TripLog, photos
Hi all,
We (myself and tiger) are planning a 3 day trip from Delhi to Rohtang and back, via Kullu and Manali. We'll set out at 5 AM on Sunday Morning and will be back by 10 PM Tuesday. Details will be posted soon. Keep checking. As of now, there are two of us: tiger (Yogesh) - P 180 Classic Rare-Devil (Salil) - P 180 Dtsi Please keep adding to the list. ---------------------------------------------- Here's the complete itinerary: Details: 7/11/2004: Assemble between 4:00 - 4:30 AM at xBhp lane. Start off at 5:00 AM Have breakfast as soon as the dhabas open up. Proceed after a 45 minute break for Breakfast. Next major break - for Lunch - 1 hour Max. Reach Kullu by 4 - 5 PM. Enjoy the scenery, take some pics, have tea and refreshments. Set out for Manali by 6:30 Max. (40 Kms) Entry fee of Rs 100 will be charged per bike here Reach Manali by 8:30 PM Check in to a hotel, have dinner, sleep tight. 8/11/2004: Breakfast by 8:00 AM. Enjoy Manali till 11:00 AM Conditions permitting, we'll go as far as we can or touch Rohtang. This should take upto 3 hours if there's no snowfall. Have Lunch en route Rohtang. We'll leave most of our luggage at the Hotel... Just our cams... Enjoy the scenery (If we reach there) hang around, take pics...Spend the evening there. Start back by 6:00 PM Return to Manali by 9. Have Dinner, and a good sleep. 9/11/2004 Break fast by 7:00 AM, set out for Delhi by 8:00 AM. Reach Delhi by 10 PM. Prepare for the next trip...... Total cost : A conservative estimate would be 2000 Bucks per head, including food for self, bike and hotel charges. Please add warm inners and some heavy winter clothing in your luggage. We are expecting sub zero temperatures. Requested scrutiny by experienced tourers...Lovemax, Nikhil... Thanks... Rare....

hey.. all da best. wud hv loved to join in but hv sessional tests from 1st to 5th..neways , i doubt u will be able to go till rohtang.. the snow will start miles b4 rohtang.. also i want proper feedback regardin drivin experience in snow and on black ice. do drive a lot in snow and black ice
 @sachin : dey will be goin on two different bikes. one p180 dtsi and the other p180 classic @rare : u comin for "the himachal exploreres trip" ?

I [^] to you bunny but driving on snow is fun as you keep falling from the bike....you get a chance to do lot of easy stunts including burnouts and donuts ....rest u feel that you are on different planet.

@bunny : the himachal exploreres trip ? Sounds yummy, lemme check out the post - have not found it yet. You'll have loads of feedback - let's c close we can get to Rohtang. But I serious wish I could ride on snow.....
