Praveen, after visiting the Kodachadri in dry conditions, I can imagine how adventerous it would be to climb Kodachadri in rains (of course, we had some great adventure climibing it at night). I am still missing Kodachadri in rains. I will visit it again in monsoons. Hope, I will have that luck.

Having those off-roading tyres is really a boon in those kind of roads. Thorougly enjoyed your pics. Kodachadri is really lovely in monsoons.

Was literally pouring when coming down. It was much more fun when i went there 2 years back. Then it was just stones, but now with a layer of soft mud they have put creates a lot of slush in rains. But the michelins held on pretty well.

Tata Indica???? I cannot believe it Aswin. It is impossible for an Indica to do that stretch. There are some very deep turns only a 4-WD jeep can do. Are you sure?

I feel slush is more dangerous than stones in those deep hairpins. There are high chances of the bike skidding more than on the rocks, particularly when negotiating the deep hairpins.

Yaah I am sure.. abt that.
Yeah riding in slush is fun but u need to have a offroad tire on rear and front. Riding in slush u always know u are gonna fall. But on the rocks it was scary... whether it will slip suddenly or not. Also now they have cleard the path for a easy ride..

Then, I am still wondering how the Indica made it to the top of the hill. There were really short deep turns which is impossible for an Indica to negotiate. Even with the Karizma I had to adjust front and forth to take some turns.

See this turn. It is impossible for the Indica to negotiate this turn. Because you have seen Indica on the top of the hill, I am still racking my head how it made to the top of the hill.

Yeah! you are right! We faced those tricky situations with those rocks at some points. At two points, could not get proper grip and bike skidded. Also, the belly of my bike hit the rock.. Luckily, nothing happened.

Descending in slush is very more dangerous and I felt really scary. While climbing itself I was getting scared how I could I ride down. Luckily, the descent went very well.

Next time I will try to make it in the monsoons. But, to reach Kodachadri it will take two days from Hyderabad.

It may be possible if somehow I can put the Ravikiran's P220 tractor tyres to my Wagon-R.
