Default Kodachaadri solo zma 19hrs 813kms

Finally managed a lil longer ride after a long time. Vicky suggested kodachadri and that would be it.

Started early in the morning.

Then i get on to country roads. Enroute shivmoga

Covered 300 kms in 4 hours 20 mins. Have break fast and get on to the interior roads and forest reserves.

Love riding under canopy.

Narrow interior roads through the forest reserves..

Happy to get clicked.. he almost ran me over when he came near me to check out his pic

some interesting scenary

Sign of roads to come

but still some nice sections

no time to check out that fort

Deviation to kodachadri

clouds playing along the K'top

The offroad climb starts here..

This was an horizontle section which i managed to stop. but there were many like this with incline

Only 4WD jeeps other than some bikes...

i have gone high enough to play with the clouds now. Some small plain on the way.

Windows XP theame from now on..

Custome color quoting for the tires any one?

Finaly reached the Inspection bunglow on top in 1.5 hours to cover 9 kms by 2.30 pm.

Was raining hard in between clicking opportunities.

Have lunch by 3 and i have to leave this heaven in half hour. Cant do the whole trek to the k'top. so climged up as much as i could in 15 mins and then down. Plus it was so misty that could not see the majestic mountain range any way.

thats me alright

No thats not a abandoned shed. Thats where i had lunch! Put my head down for a few minitus for some pseudo rest before the impending return.

I really had to be home the same day, else its really not nice to leave the place the same day. Was very much tempted to stay back.

the skys cleared a bit and i could catch the glimpses from the top.

Now i am back on the saddle by 3.30 pm thought of very less stops till home but couldnt stop my self from feeling the thin air.
Explore a small jeep track.

actually came from the direction the bike is pointing to.

Stops again and again for more green clicks.

An autoban pic before i make a beeline to home.. its started pouring just after these pix. Dropped my bike once in the decent just when i thought i almost made it . but the tank took 2 small scratches

one last green pic

its 5 pm before i decended all the way. No more pleasure stops now. 400kms to home. But i had rain for constant company till shivmoga. Planed to clear the bad portions in daylight but now was late. Going got agonizingly slow with bad roads, rain and HID loosing its advantage on wet roads. But compared to morning this is where i was accelerating and decelerating frequently and the ZMA pull was awesome every whip of the throttle.
In shivmoga by 7.30 and finally at home by 12.45 am.

A 19 hour ride to shake myslef all over after a long time. Body aching the whole next day and could not even walk properly but its the Meetha dard u see.

Riding solo to koda requires guts. And you have it in plenty, pkm! I'm not able see the pics. Damn my company's firewall.

Next time any one goes to Koda, try the Arishinagundi falls. It is a breath-taking waterfall at the foots of Kodachadri.

Thanks Sumit. you must soon. They are in their slow road making process and spoiled some fun by putting some mud on the rocky path. so the path is getting slippery.

Thanks Mibhin This is the quickest if not the shortest. Not sure. But from hassan u have to cross a lot of mountains though.
