Thumbs up

Hi! i am new to xbhp.i am also from bhubaneswar and i have been a dormant member from last 4 months. this is my first post and kudos to you for touring on a 100 cc splendor. As mentioned by satish splendor can take a lot of abuse and very well pull almost anywhere. although larger capacity bike can pull at higher speed but splendor can also climb although it will struggle. I can testify that as i own a hero honda joy(remember it) which is basically same as splendor only with a slightly higher torque rating as a result she comes with 42 size rear sprocket by default. i have toured extensively on it and presently she is at 2,10,000 km(yes! 2.1 lacs km ) and still also she returns 78 km pl. i have many a times toured non stop for more than 300 k ms at a speed of 70-75 kph and still she didn't show any signs of discomfort. So a splendor can take a lot of abuse.my joy is going to be 10 years still also it is stock and its original paint still shining like the day she was delivered.

Whoa 2.1 lakhs kms is insane!!

And i didnt knew that Joy has altered rear sprocket size which means it would have better top speed as well as highway mileage

yes it has altered rear sprocket as a result i can rip at 70-80 kph and still also return 76 k pl on highway. the build quality is so good that i have completed 2.1 lacs km with only a single engine overhaul at 1.13 lacs. presently it needs another engine overhaul. i would also thank my mechanic who does an excellent job and the engine has completed more than 90 thousand kilometers after engine overhauling. sadly a bike like hero honda joy couldn't find place in the market. for me i would never sell the bike and will keep it even when i buy a higher cc bike. if anyone is interested then i can show some photos with the bike in original paint as from factory.

Lolz.

It was just a small ride on a Splendor. I have done things even more idiotic.

Bangalore-Mysore in 120 minutes(135kms)
Bhubaneswar-Sambalpur in 290 minutes(305kms)- 2 times.

All runs Flat-out on a 109.2cc TVS Victor. Feel like opening a thread on that.

It's even more weirder the fact is that even though Joy was 90% Splendor/Passion it failed. I wonder how can the same bike with same basic setup fails because of a different brand name.

Good to see your love for your first bike and do share the pics of your steed.
