Sorry guys, My net connection exceeded download limit. So couldn't log-in and reply.
Yeah, dude!!..I have heard the beleagured KBK districts are even more scenic. But the only problem is nobody is interested to explore those places because of lack of facilities out there!!Originally posted by apacheboy View PostFacking goodness!!Never thought Our state can be so breath taking..

loved all the pic....esp the HDR ones......my god i was drowsy and at an instant i was all up after seeing the over coloured pic
Been wanting to take my CBR(my splendor
) for some 100-150kms ride for quiet a while now but i just could not manage to start! and its returning 43-45kmpl these days
!
have clocked 250kms once inside the city and 350+ on the higways once......splendor can take this torture!
Thanks, satish!!
Unposted HDR pics are somewhat better.Splendor can take the beating but riding up the inclines was quite a task for the puny 100cc!!
Many many thanks for the kind words, Aryan!!Originally posted by Aryan View Post73kms. or 730kms. doesn't really matter. What DOES matter is your enthusiasm! I mean seriously tell me - how many of us 'hardcore bikers' (that we perhaps like to term us) would even THINK of taking a "meager" 100cc machine just for the fun of it! Hardly anyone, really. You did it, and that in itself is pretty commendable. Kudos!

Thanks, nabendu!!Originally posted by nabendubasu View Postsome very nice pic there chicane.loved the log too.and about DARINGBARI is it true that snow falls there i have heard that too, thought its a rumour.
No it's not a rumour. But don't compare it with snow blankets as we find in Kashmir/Sikkim.The flakes out there is pretty small and they give an impression of snowing and the temperature touches 0 degrees during winters!!
But from past couple of years the temp is hovering around 2-3 degrees, thanks to global warming!!
Thanks!!Originally posted by prafultripathy View Post@chicane: Pics 12,14,15,25 were too good! 12 & 25 especially!

It feels good to help someone raise the "fascination factor" for a place!!

You didnt post your pose pics but

I have reserved the posing pics of mine in the return trip.
To be honest with you, this was a helmet-less ride. The only helmet we had didn't fit us both, either!! But i have taken care of not posting lidless pics while the bike is in motion.I hope that is OK with you!!Originally posted by hitanshu View PostDQ; Where are the helmets my friend?
Btw, what does DQ stands for?..Is it Discussion Question or something else!!
Thanks, mate!!Originally posted by pulsater View Postloved your spirit mate. keep touring

Finally updated!!
I know i would be a laughing stock in xBhp for creating a history by updating a return journey in a long 5 months time. Felt really lazy to post the pics.In fact the post processing took a toll in me and then sorting and arranging the posts was a herculean task for me.But finally after all those months, I am finally updating those.
The Return Trip:
After having breakfast at Kalinga,it was time to retreat and gallop at those places which i had earmarked to take pics.My prime motive was to shoot HDRs and with that in mind getting the right spot was more important for me.Now, it was my turn to take the saddle and we started moving. The return journey as expected would be a downhill except for some minor uphill patches. After we left Kalinga we noticed a vast and dense forest area which were occupied by tall trees. They were so dense that underneath those trees it was almost dark. The 'Foliage' mode of the cam was helpful in getting those shots really well.I was always with this notion that the special modes provided in digicams are just for namesake but to my surprise those modes are also pre-set for ISO settings which is really helpful as they don't bump up the unwanted noise.

Standing tall!!

The forest section which looks straight from the road to Bhanjanagar from Kalinga.

Me posing!!

Please bear with some weird HDRs but i have tried my level best to get those HDRs right.

Landscape:

The 4x optical zoom at its full glory!!

Just as i was taking this pic, i noticed a FZ climbing the hill at blistering pace and taking the corner as if slicing knife through butter and that too with a pillion behind. I was like
after seeing that scene!!

Now enough of those HDRs, time for some photoshoot of myself!!
I think those mudflaps are a straight-lift from those of Trucks!!

Never-before-seen Shots of Splendor!!
Now this particular curve reminded of those found enroute Nandi Hills near Bangalore.Loved the greenery out here. This was a terrific place to take a pic and i quickly clicked pics and started to roll.
Awesome view from the upper reaches of the hill.

Time to get those HDRs right. My bro was constantly scratching his head to see me taking 3-5 shots of a particular scene!!

The temple and the waterfall which becomes active during rainy season!!

One of my favourite pics!!

I was looking for any Naxalite movement, down there!!

Customary or Mandatory!!
Had it been evening time, this place would have looked freakishly eerie!!

Just as we were nearing the Bhanjanagar town, we noticed the carpet of dry leaves lying besides the road, courtesy the spring season. Quickly stopped the bike on the middle of the road and like kids ran towards the side of the road and picked up handful of those dry leaves and put them near the bike to make the scene more enticing!!

Definitely the best 'state' highway i have ever come across.
2212
This is a huge lake which has been created by a nearby irrigation project. The place is breathtaking during rainy seasons.

Got 2-3 missed calls from uncle(cousin's dad) as he was curious to know about our whereabouts and i did inform mom about our status/location while we were having breakfast. When we reached home at around 11:30 , uncle did notice my evil grin and it was an easy guess for him to know where we actually visited.
This definitely is one of my favourite trips i have ever made.I was always intrigued by the name of this place but after having it conquered it on 2 wheels was never in my book of dreams.
