Nothing wrong in taking your Avy 200! The route's fine except for a few bad patches i.e. shimla - narkanda, wangtu - karcham and malling..

Enjoy!

Apacheboy : its Kaza not Kaja

The only prob i see in August are the rains. Places like the stretch around Nako lake (forgot the name) are prone to landslides. All the very best
Dont forget to visit Kibber - one of the highest motorable villages with electricity connection in the world.

Kibber is definitely on the list if time permits..

Now for my Avy do i reset the bike to stock tuning levels(right now its running on 1 upjet & the BS29 is tuned rich).

See, above 7000-8000feet, the air becomes thin : but the fuel going in is same. so in other words, the bike starts running a rich mixture. So, to compensate, we have to reduce the fuel / increase the air.
right now, u say ur bike is running rich, which is bad. Once u start hitting Shimla area (around 6500feet or so), u will HAVE to do something

Thanks Rachit bhai, for the update.
I forgot to put one more query , how about the accommodation beyond Manali ?
Especially in Kaza, I tried to call & book the "The Spiti" but i never managed to get through to them.

Beyond Manali, if you are planning to go directly to kaza, then its ok, but if you are planning to stay enroute, you will find accomodation (tented) in a place called chattru, a rest house in chota-dhara, one tented accomodation in Batal, and a few guest houses in Losar.

There are many guest houses you can find in kaza. Try and source one away from the main chowk, deeper inside you can get one for Rs 150-200.
