Default A Date with Nature: Ride to Kuntala Waterfalls

Starting off with the teaser picture. More and more pictures and the trip log coming up.

Kuntala Waterfalls Ride was planned well before the ride date, It was supposed to be on June end, but delayed entry of Mr. Monsoon made us to postpone the ride to 11th of July. Though its still not the season to visit, But we did visit and there is always next time.

The whole ride was simply awesome, Best of all I have done. Gorgeous NH-7 with its 4-Lane spread for almost 100kms and then becomes a Bi-Lane with very bad patces. NH-7 Showed us its best and worst parts. Roads as wide as 50mts and as narrow as 8mts. Whole ride was excellent except a small fall by one of the rider. Nothing serious though.

Riders & Ride
1. Kiran (Karizma)
2. Raghu aka Booo (FZ16)
3. Riaz, Myself (CBZ Xtreme)
4. Shashi (Karizma)
5. Shastry (Apache 150)
6. Vishnu (Apache RTR)
7. Prabhakar aka Probiker (Pulsar 220 Fi)
8. Tejas (Pillion on CBZ Xteme)

I would love to see pics from Kiran's camera. Wait till next updates.

Some Gyan about the Kuntala Waterfalls:
Kuntala Waterfall is the highest waterfall of Andhra pradesh.
Amidst dense forests and sahayadri mountain range, the District of Adilabad is bestowed with nature’s beauty at it’s best. In the dense forests of the sahayadri mountain range are present many big and small waterfalls, which are fed by monsoons. Most of these waterfalls run through the living habitats of local tribal communities.
According to the popular and prevalent local belief Kuntaala Waterfall got it’s name after Shakuntala, the beloved wife of King Dushyanth who fell in love with each other and were mesmerized by the scenic beauty of the surroundings. The locals also believe that Shakuntaala used to bathe by the waterfall.
River Kanda flowing through the dense forests; at this point comes gushing and falls from a height of 45metres.One has to experience the sight of water splashing down with such a force that water below turn into whirls.

Riaz, thanks for starting a separate thread. Thought of asking you guys to start a new thread, as Sarvajit made his log just for his group.

Waiting for pics and log.

The teaser pic is really good. Wonder how much rain should the area receive to fill the entire rock. Would like to see it in full swing.

I guess it would be more good after august. These falls are very wide that, if it fills completely...then that would be most spectacular sight.
