Default 15-16th August, xbhp Mumbai rides to AMBOLI GHATS...

AMBOLI GHATS...
HERE IS THE PLACE WHERE MAXIMUM RAINFALL IS OFFICIALLY NOTIFIED IN ALL THE WESTERN INDIAN STATES.FOREST DENSITY & ECO DIVERSITY ARE MAJOR PLUS FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL HEAVEN. A tranquil hill station on the Western Ghats, surrounded by thick forests and tree canopied hills, with HUGE WATERFALLS around. On the coastal side, Amboli peers over the tree lined sandy ribbon of the Konkan coast; on the other three sides, you are rewarded by a magnificent panorama of the sweeping valley.

A must for hardcore nature lovers...

Route:NH4 - 491 kms.
Dates: 15-16th August (Sat-Sun)
Meeting Point: 15th Aug, 3:30 AM, Panvel McD

FINAL PLAN:
Me & Razor will meet at Powai lake, 3:30 AM. Shiva will join us at Panvel McD, 4:00 AM. By 4:30 AM max we'll take-off to our destination... i.e., still Amboli Ghats only. Will ride from NH-4 & hoping to reach the destination by max 2 PM. Reach there n enjoy the nature. Do a stay-over with Monks & sharing My x-gf stories & legends. Even Shiva & Razor can share their thots this tym about their past n thats an open invitation, lolz JK. Enjoy sunrise the next morning from some view point & Well, GOA is just another 80-90 kms. from there, we can do a short visit there too, but thats just an idea & then start heading back by 2 PM Sunday & reach Mumbai by max early Midnight on 16th.

FINAL LIST:
RazorBlades - RTR160
Spiderweb - ZMA R
Shiva_zma - ZMA R
Old_novice - P150

IMP: As 15th is a dry day, plz keep the required medicines & spirits pre-loaded

Well, you never rolled with Anup & Gang I think. Our planning is basically going to far-land distances & long Rides, less sight seeing & Monk in the night, in the shortest time possible, i.e., Saturday & Sunday, the END. But guess what, we enjoy that lyk anything. Our Kutch, Hampi, Mt.Abu, Ahmdabad tours, etc. were lyk this only. Say HARDCORE RIDING TOURS...

@MG: Beautiful clicks, but the place looks more beautiful n majestic in Rains... Wanna join?

Hi i guess we have been used to riding short distance for quite sometime...this seems to be a good ride....and my guess is that if we leave in the morning at 4:00ish we should be able to reach by 2:00..anyway its not like there are places to visit there...u know what we are going there for...just dont forget that it would be a dry day on 15th aug...so load up...before leaving...

thanks spidy for the initiative...

*C'mon, you dnt need to mention that.

4 AM will be just perfect, early morning winds. Its been long since I smelled early morning highway winds...
& dont worry, we'll be loaded as always, just lyk Kutch Ride...

@Darknight: Well 2 PM - 7 PM, sight seeing will be enough I guess.
