No extra fuel required. And if you want to carry extra, I can help u on that. O have attached 10 litre fuel tank permanantly on saree guard. I will (or anyone can)attach this saree guard to his zma when needed.
I had carried it during Kaza trip, but did not use. If you top up at Rampur, it would last till Kaza. Be careful in Kaza, the Petrol pump is govt operated at closes at 5:00pm. does not open on sundays.

But truck drivers sell fuel onweekends.

thx a lot viveksh..ya even i thought of doin the auli trip but i wanna explore the himachal area 1st..
hey 6 lane highway in hills? wow!! riding into china..someday!!

rates r nice man! 150 bucks..cool!! its good for me coz i gotta spend out of my pocket money for the trips..
i think if i dont drive as fast as u did (!) i will manage around 30kmpl.so petrol cost wil be around 1750 for me.plus approx 900-1000 for 4 nights accomodation plus around 500 for 5 day food. so i cant do the same route as u did for around
3150-3250..cool enuf..
but the point is when.. not in june coz wil b going to shimla..

one more thing, for the route u did, extra petrol is not required na..coz karizma's tank takes in around 16liters.so 16*28=448km range. wat do u say

Average of Karizma has always been 28kmpl for me

Bunny,

I had good time indeed. In january, I went to Auli on my bike. So, if you want to only ride, Think about going there also, else for 3 days, I suggest you go to Nainital-almorah-kausani- karna pryag- rishikesh-delhi.

I understand that after rishikesh road are not very good, but after rampur(UP), u'll enjoy the roads of Corbett national park region. Don't take muradabad-kashipur-ramnagar road that's very bad. After that, roads to almora are very good and drive also. After kausani, on the state highway, it is a pleasure to ride bike on good speed on narrow roads. So you can reach kausani in 1day, stay there overnight, next day come to rishikesh and go for rafting, then come back.

If you have already gone to these places, then the circuits you have suggested seem to be very good. But ponta sahib road is not very enjoyable. The road from rishikesh to Lachchhi-wala is good but after that , lot of potholes.

Anyways , plan as per you taste. and most importantly, enjoy every moment of being on your bike.

Guys, in January , I saw 6 lane road being constructed (on hills), from Joshimath towards China. Locals told me that this road is connected to China and being widened.

vivek
