Default What footwear do you wear for everyday riding?

Lets face it, 99.9% of us would slip on a pair of regular shoes and sandals for everyday riding. Our riding specific boots, if any, would come out of cold storage only when we're either touring, or for that rare spin on the track.

So this thread is about the shoes/sandals you wear for daily use on the bike - some ground rules:

1) Mention brand/make, model name and price you got it for.
2) The reason behind why you wear the shoe you do.
3) How long has it lasted you so far
4) Any other comments/feedback.
5) Please exclude riding specific boots - there is a riding gear thread for that.

I hope this will help people who are looking to buy an all-in-one shoe which can be used for biking, office/college use and other everyday activities.

I'll start - 90% of the time, I use a leather Nike (Jordan) boot for riding my bike to the office/movies etc. I bought it for Rs.2000 at a discount and I use it because it is durable enough to withstand gear shifts, goes well with my blue jeans and is dust resistant. I have been using them for the past 3 years and it has held its own quite well, except for fraying laces!

while going for tennis i prefer my Babolat Propulse 2 tennis shoes, well they are new.

well its easy as i have to not carry too many shoes, now i am planing to go for riding shoes planing to order from abroad or Orazo, as its raining cats and dogs in Bangalore and roads are bad, so riding shoes are must...

Up unto 3 months ago

Shoes: Nike Air Jordans (All black leather)

Why: Moulded soles... very good ankle support.

How Long: Lasted me about 2 n a half years of virtually using it everyday. with a toeshifter. no frayed leather.

Comments: Air Jordans are without a doubt the most comfortable Nike shoes i've ever worn so far. They're definitely worth the price too.

Price: Rs. 8999

-----------

Current

Shoes: Reebok Baseketball Shoes (All white with red highlights n sole)

Why: Moulded soles... decent ankle support. very good grip.

How Long: Been using them for about 3 months now.

Comments: Just bought these as an intermediate pair till i can find a good pair of Jordans in Bombay. Can't fnd one anywhere.
The Reeboks are not as comfy as my Jordans.

Price: Rs. 2499
