Dehradun happens to be my hometown as well..I have done a lot many biking trips to nearby places.

Dehradun,in particular,has many bikers but haven't seen any on xbhp so far..Good to see someone from there.

I am from Dehradun but currently based in Mumbai .. I do visit my hometown atleast twice a year and since I bought my bike in Mumbai so I really miss riding in Dehradun. Roads of dehradun are skinner than Mumbai, but no roads can beat the Rajpur road

I was in doon last month and the roads are pretty roughed up with a lot of construction going on .. but the road you would need to take from Roorkee all the way to Mussoorie is fine ( normal UP Uttarakhad roads ) 80% nice ones with some rough patches .. but I can bet you will love the ride in Doon starting from the clock tower in the heart of the city all the way to Mussoorie and Dhanaulti.

What's the latest updates on road and all.

May be some permanent resident can guide you with the latest updates. But I can still vouch for the road from Doon to Dhanaulti via Mussoorie .. Its an all season rider friendly roads ( Monsoon can cause landslides, but there is some time for the monsoons to arrive )
