Same thing what I said earlier, RR swap with a higher cap, I used an APE RR, and till date its fine. Its better to go for the OEM as the local make may get faulty after sometime, one of our friend had this bitter experiece due to this. OEM will costing around 1.1K but its worth to invest if u want a trouble free time. A faulty RR can make a big hole on ur wallet, so considering the double cost of OEM is worth.

I've done some re routing of wires which is applicable for HID too. If u got a telescopic HID, connect the low beam to the power switch which is not shown here and the HB wire to the solenoid to make it H/L function, this will give ur HID more life span as everytime u switch to H/L beams the power is getting swapped from one beam to another which results premature HID failure, u can save one relay for the HB too as the solenoid wont take much power. I hope its clear, else, come forward.

Here's my wiring diagram for the Halo setup, If u wish to save cost, u can avoid the relay for the HB like what I said earlier.

Some one should get a thread stickied on the correct procedure to do this. We have the info here, but its scaterred all over.

Basically, you need to fix the APE RR unit. Sajjt has done this and can help you better.

Its all depends how u r going to look into this. I had the HID conversion kit and once I rectified the charging issues I thought this will be final, but once I came to know about the pros & cons of this HID, I was disappointed and badly wanted to change to projectors. But there r people with HIDs on stock beams happily screwing others happiness and saftey by their jolly rides

Its a nice idea Abhi, I request u to take the initiative and lets all contribute. What do u say?

Now everything is clear, batt charging is not adequate, and how come u got hr ride with HID? Its something wrongly posted backup time. AC lighting system will have a very minimal batt requirement so the charging rate will be low, and hence the self starter refuces to take U need to swap the RR to boost it mate.
Query for the bold lines..!! How is my HID running without any issues (touchwood ) on highways ofcourse !!

Man its a Pulsar not Uni was almost sure about the backup time as I too have the same steed. This query was raised towards to u once u reinstalled the stock RR. Uni's RR is smarter than a Pulsar, why dont u measure it and declare man. Pulsar stock RR will feed a max of 3.5A which was found to be inadequate in my case with a 35W HID, may be due to low rpm rides. But the present setup is giving stable juice for my batt.

I just shared ur experience on the prev post. And what about ur coil rewinding? Done?

I know u r one of those who r least bothered about others happiness Havent u got any greets from anyone yet?

Default Want to install HID in my pulsar 150 Dtsdi Digital Meter Jan 2006 Model

Dear All,

I want to go for a white light bulb yesterday. I bought Halonix 12V 35/35W Ultra Blue & replace my orginal bulb with it. But i am not happy with the Light which was very low in comparison to my original Bulb. I want to instal Xenon Light in my pulsar 150 Dtsi Digital Meter. The model is Jan 2006. Can anyone pls suggest me where will i get it done in Ahmedabad. Also pls advise me the cost of installing the Xenon Lamp in my Roaring Pulsar. I want to make it a beauty in 150CC segment.

Also pls advise me " Will it effect my wiring which is perfectly fine as of now. Also i dont want to be in trouble after installing or alteration to my Light.

Pls advise me the name & address of the Mechanic and shop where will i get it done.

Thnks & Rgds,
Sanjay

Hi Sanjay

Firstly the bulb which u have bought is a normal halogen bulb which looks like a xenon light source when lit. It is NOT a HID. An HID kit consists of a Xenon bulb with a Ballast to power it up. HID works only with DC supply.
Your Pulsar 150 if iam not wrong is not running on full DC electricals. Your headlight runs on AC power from the alternator. Hence an HID cannot be fit directly.
U will have to convert your bike to full DC first. Look around for the threads on DC conversion.
There will be alterations done. But if done correctly it wont affect your bike in a negative way. A bad job can adversely affect & can damage the battery & wirings.
I suggest you go through all the threads to clarify all your doubts.

Welcome to Xbhp,
Halonix 12V is a normal Halogen bulb & you will not get any light from that. it is just blue coated glass which gives out blue colour not light. For P150 check the previous 1 or 2 pages you can find some answers or After Market HID Projector Mod for Pulsar 150
