Like Drvmtm said, there r dedicated high beam lenses but the budget will go up beyond ur imaginations and most of these dedicated lenses are manufactured by reputed cos like Hella, Bocsh etc. and falling into the range of $400 for a pair. Is that worth and viable to fit two lenses in a bike without a proper fairing.

Hows this idea? Its a Dodge sealed beam with a lens for LB and reflctor for HB.

+1 to that, sajjit is it possible to get these type of projector/reflecter combo in a 7 inch seal beam setup,do u feel me bro?

Hi navnish....so i assume that the recommended bi-xenon for FZ by you
            is a 35 watt one....rite?????

I have a silly(maybe) question.....how does the battery handle the huge amount of power required for the HID's coz i read in this thread itself
that it takes some time to start....

And also how would the battery fare in city usage coz i read that we shudnt change from lo to hi and vice versa frequently(like using the pass switch)???

fz s charging system is quite robust, even it can pull 55/60 halo bilb without much hiccup, specially if the rpm is maintained over 3000rpm.
Yes you are correct ,the hids take up a huge chunk just at the start 3to 4 sec max, then it steadily declines and set in the region of 3 to 3.5 amps. The power that is lost at the begaining is then refilled by the charging section gradually, just as the starter takes a huge power at the starting but the charger fills it up later
changing to hi-low in a bi xenon provided by navnish is a childs play, the product is already built with a capacitor inside so while changing there is no switching off of the hid ,just the bulb moves, seamless, danger free,no probs.

              • Philips Extreme Power in Pune

                Hi Guys,

Can you please let me know where can I get Phillips Extreme Power bulb in Pune? What is the price range for this bulb?

I am looking for this bulb for my Pulsar 180 UG4, and I am planning to install it only for Low-Beam. (I almost never ride with high-Beam). Are there any specific grades (like H4??) that I need to look for?)

It would also be great if someone can confirm that I actually do not need any modifications needed on my P180 to fit the extreme power bulb. The electricals are all DC 12V.

Any pointer regarding the above questions are highly appreciated.

Are there any specific grades (like H4??) that I need to look for?)ANS-NOT POSSIBLE,YOU NEED A H4 BULB WHICH IS A BULB TYPE COMPRISING OF HIGH AND LOW BEAM IN A SINGLE BULB!

It would also be great if someone can confirm that I actually do not need any modifications needed on my P180 to fit the extreme power bulb. The electricals are all DC 12V. ANS-YOU CANT USE A PHILLIPS X TREAM POWER AS THE BULBS RATING IS 55/60 WATT,AND YOUR BIKE SUPPORTS ONLY 35 WATT BULBS,ALSO YOUR BIKE IS HAVING A BCU AND I ASSUME UNDER WARRANTY SO DONT EVEN THINK OF MODIFYING ELECTRICAL S.
                  HEARTBROKEN? YOU SHOULD BE!
YOUR ONLY OPTION IS TO GO FOR HID BIXENON 4300K,

LIGHTS BETTER THEN A PHILLIPS,A STRAIGHT FIT,NO SLICING DICING OF WIRES AND DOSENT VOID WARRENTY,ALSO GIVES A LIGHT OUT PUT AT LEAST 3 TIMES BETTER.

Any pointer regarding the above questions are highly appreciated.

This is available in ebaymotors.com. Initially I was trying to get this but one thing pulled me back as the lens focused to inwards as it comes in pairs and each of them will focus little inwards to make a good pattern for a car. So if u want to mount this, u need to fix it by lens below and reflector wiill be on top. And I was not sure about the beam spread with this single lens, but it should be like any other lens, and more over its an OE from Dodge. All are priced under $100 w/o shipping. Add another $100 for that too. and the landed cost will be almost 12-14K incl any duties.

                    Here's another one

                    But its having integrated indicators

Only thing is its accomodating 9005-6 type bulb base, difficult to find an HID for the same.

Last one uses H7 bulb and seems to be viable for our purpose

                    Any takers? Here's the link

                      • @Guys here is a pic of different HID Bulb quality's what are available in the market.

A is top of the line
                        B does its job
C and D are the cheapest quality what you can get.

I got this pic form the manufacturer so sharing it here.
