Instead of altering the holder arrangement in your doom you can buy a H4 telescopic (motorized) conversion kit and fit it in your bike without any mod..

but for your info, s we can fix a H7 bulb in a H4 doom. for that you have to have
a H4-H7 adapter ( its a washer kind of metal ring which has H4 shape at its outer diameter and H7 shape at its inner diameter)

i suggest you to go for H4 directly

Hi guys,
need one clarification... I was all set to get coil rewinding done for installing 60W bulb for headlight in ma RTR180. Now, when I went to the workshop the day before the d-day, the 'main' mech their said coil rewinding should not be done - there there are multiple coils which will need rewinding, and that this can seriously affect the other electricals, low power lights will blow one by one, can screw up the console display or atleast is life... and like that... He said there is another way of getting the bulb installed without having to change the battery but didnt elaborate on that...

I'm thouroughly confused now... can someone please help is settling my mind... can I indeed go for rewinding without blowing my console etc? What is this other option, is it changing RR unit? - will it be troublefree?

Looking forward to replies...
Thanks,
Lijo

As many others, including me have proved, rewinding is no big deal provided you know what you are doing. I would advice you not to get it done from that mech atleast. He has no idea what he is doing. Find another one!
