Well that is a news to me...
Who ever has tried to install HID in FZ have changed the coiling too...
BTW, which HID are you using?

Yes, rewinding is not necessary until and unless u think to plonk a 90/100w halogen. HID (35w) consumes less power than NB (55/60w).

If you dont mind paying 100bucks extra head over to Ruby Electrical in lalbagh road they are the best to do this in Bangalore.

Do the rewinding & if you are lucky enough you may get juice to light 100w Bulb
thanks for the reply

I am getting this rewinding done at a local mechanic. The power to light up a 100w might be difficult because its just a 125cc.

Would it effect the warranty in anyway??

as long as the svc does not find out about it, the warranty will not be void....
but if they do they might create a problem...

actually the warranty of ANY bike is limited to its engine only. As they do not provide any warranty to the other parts of the bike except engine i thought that they will not void the warranty & hence i wanted to verify the same from you guys. Now since the SC guys just search any reason to just void the bike's warranty i didnt wanted to take any kind of risk. Still i will try to find out at the SC & then i will get the rewinding done.

Improper rewinding will hamper the performance of engine and can lead to void of warranty. A rewinded coil can easily be identified (if coil is opened) so there is no question of hiding. BTW whats ur ride on which ur planning the rewinding?

FYI not only engine parts, there are many other parts which come under warranty like the ignition coil, cdi unit, digital meter, led tail, battery (rewinding can hamper battery)
