Even I think so. They will then just be looking out for R15's with this headlamp. Incidentally I was caught yesterday near my home for using the right HID on lo-beam. I told the police that this bike is imported and comes this way. Then seeing that the focus was pretty low, he left me off.

@biker boy Amit
you are going to make things tough for me with my HID.
if i ever get caught in chandigarh,i would politely ask you to pay for the challan

almost 2 years of riding with HID,i have never been asked to pay any fine or what soever,I have been stopped twice on highways,only because light was hurting cops eyes :lol

I know its there,chandigarh might be having the highest number of vehicles in the country with HID's,every second 4 wheeler has HID here now.
Although the city is so well lighted that i dont need to use headlights 80% of the time i ride at night.

Dude it started all like this,

I was stoped at a naka in sector 26 for checking once, I saw a Pulsar installed with a HID standing next to me. Once the Pulsar guy left I asked the cops the isnt there a challan for the HID, for my surprise the cops were well aware what HID's are. They said there is no challan for the HID as its not a voliation under Moter Vehicle Act and I can install one on my bike too.
