Guys an update from my side .
Tested the new 40w HIDs what i got last month on the R15 and it worked really well.

Comparing the 35w hid kits the 40w hids are much brighter and the start up time is also less. The price of the 40w HIDs are little more then the normal ones but they are completely worth it .

Will post some pics and more feedback tonight

^^ I have a question for you - On the R15, what is the minimum rpm to keep if dual 35W HIDs are used?

no faith bro???.
just kiddin. i already told u na,,,if 35 each then 5k rpm for 2 hid,.but thats ok na because the right one will be on only in high beam na.the right side reflector is a dedicated high beam.if u r lookin for projector then a diff story though..

Just getting another opinion! I think you are correct, with both lights on and the radiator running, the horn sounds weak with the engine off. This bike has very tight margin to play around.

But then I wanted 2 HIDs on low beam too! Too much kya?

Hi all, am a silent reader of this thread and now am in need of some help. Am planning to install P220 projector and ellipsoid headlamp in my zma, and i would like to know the possibilities of installing two P220's Headlights(2 ellipsoid for high beam and 2 projector with HID for low beam) in a single unit of zma as shown in the figure.

*is it possible to install them as in (2), if so, what are the other necessary changes which am suppose to do(coil rewinding??).
*i think the first mod is possible but i prefer the second one.

Am using Osram NB with relay but am not happy with this setup especially in highway, apart from this my reflector unit got burnt because of Philips 110/130 WATS bulb which i was using before. So if i need a better output from NB, i have to change ma head light unit, instead of that am thinking about some mods in the current headlight unit itself.

Gurus please shed some light in this,

Thanks in advance

instead of spending so much in doing the mod . go for a 40w h4 bixenon hid you will be very happy with the light output trust me on this

hey Navnish bro thanks for the reply actually i saw your previous post about the same bulb and was about pm you, is that bulb available in h7 holder. I know h7 will come with single beam but if that 40w bulb is available in h7.....,

Am not interested in fixing an hid with out a projector. The main reson is cops, i've few friends as victims and i don't wanna repeat the same. But if i fail to fix 2 p220's head light assay, i may go to the first type as mentioned in the earlier post where i can try a bixenon projector with 40w h4 HID bulb as mentioned by you.

Another thing is that my headlight unit is not in a good shape now, and if am going for a direct hid fix, i may have to change the head light assay, its partially burnt now.

Before trying to source scrap p220 headlight units, i just wanna know the possibilities of above mentioned mod
thank you
