what are the changes i should be looking at? coil windin? relay? wires?

Please help me out in this.

Thanks!
May be I am pessimistic, but going from 30 W to 60W in apache is not a good idea IN YOUR CASE.
Reasons:
1: There is no constraining option like 60w only, since you will not be able to use avenger coil plate.
2: since avenger coil plate is ruled out and so you will have to go for rewinding the stock, considering the risk of doing it in the local (I am not a victim, but everyone whom u ask of rewinding the stock says, STOP).
3: if you are willing to take the risk, then you can go for 100W itself, with upgrades to stock wiring harness and a relector/headlight that supports this Wattage. (I am suggesting this, because I couldnt notice significant improvement with 60W "stock car bulb, halonix")

100W is an overkill. It will melt the reflector, fairing et al with all the heat generated. 60W does have lots of advantages and is visibly a lot better and brighter than the stock 35W. And yes, coil rewinding does have its disadvantages.
@Sai_ace: Save the trouble and get a HID.

Default Avenger coil plate

Hi guys...i enquired at the Sai Service SS in Andheri for the avenger 180 coil plate to upgrade the headlight in my P150....they quoted an atrocious figure of smthng like 950/- plus taxes!!!
can anyone please tell me where i can source the coil plate for its standard price (550/- i think) around the bandra-andheri belt in Mumbai...
also, most of the bike shops i checked around have never heard of the coil plate and 60W bulb upgrade in pulsar and hence refuse to take up tyhe job...considering that i have never opened up my headlight assembly myself, would it be wise for me to undertake this task by myself.... ?

@Cssk:-

Havent u seen this by Sandeep.k.ram,?.

For P200 - unless you have done coil rewinding you will see no difference whatsoever with 60/55 or 100/90. You simply wont be running either of them at full power coz the magento doesn't deliver more than ~40W to you headlamps. So its of no use putting them on a P200 in stock state.
Yes i have seen sandeep's HID, he did not rewind or do anything to the coil. Miss his posts these days though

Thanks mate i will replace with avenger's coil, is RR unit supposed to be replaced as well(if yes, how much would it cost). I just wanted to see some pics of osram night breakers or something better than that thats it (no HIDs please), but looks like no one is using them.

Description source: Roadrollers.

To see and to be seen are the best defenses one can have while riding or driving at night.
To see clearly in turn helps someone else's cause to be seen.

Our experiment with 55-60W headlight for automobile started few days ago and we found OSRAM Night Breaker, very much a driver's delight at night.
The unique headlight that exhibits different characteristics at low beam and high beam was welcomed very pleasantly by most of the members in our group, road sensing abilities to go along with the range was simply superb. And a headlamps that gives 90% more illumination that any other normal halogen, it was fitting to all our requirements. And ever since we were looking to install OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER in our bikes

Search started with look out for H7 lamps that could be easily replace the stock OEM headlamps on Bajaj Pulsar 220DTSFi, but as luck would have it, we are yet to get it.

Then we tried out OSRAM Night Breakers (the one's we had already installed on Hyndai Getz)on Bajaj Pulsar 200 with stock alternator and to our amazement the illumination was close to illumination on Bajaj Pulsar 220.
So, it could beat Bajaj Pulsar 220's illumination, provided alternator can provide little bit more power.

After long discussion with many apt people and technicians, we found Bajaj Avenger's alternator direct fit. On Bajaj Pulsar 200, 180 and 150.

Osram Nightbreaker 55/60 watt.

Avenger 180's coil.

total cost : INR 1382
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
labour : INR 50
Lamp : INR 800 (though it came in pair costing 1600)
Stator plate coil : INR 532

Thanks a lot for the pics mate, that should help me a lot.
Night Breakers do look very impressive.
I hope there is no need to change RR unit.

Any suggestions how to jimmy the bulb in, or should i just buy the right bulb.
The only way I can think of is to cut the holder on the projector and change it to one that support H4. That would be the last resort in case you dont want to buy a new bulb...the first option should be to just buy the H2 or HB4 bulbs..you'll save a lotof headaches and it would be plug and play.

One more thing to keep in mind is that the projector would be only for low beam. The highbeam wont work with it because of the cutout built into the projector.
