Anyday Avenger among your list of choices. Good comfortable riding position. Good engine which can effortlessly cruise at over 80 kmph for long distances. Good stability over potholes. Big wide soft seat. Very affordable spares.

@threadstarter: the 220 (OTR: Rs 80650) sells for about 5k more than the p180, and is several times better than the others you mentioned when it comes to touring. rule out the FZ, it makes for a great city bike, eats dust on the highways.

You should seriously consider the P220.

If this is the kind of touring you are expecting to do (300kms one way) then rtr180 would be a good choice. If would be the quickest of the lot and would be a more "fun" to ride bike than any other you have listed. Good in the city , twisties and highways and better mileage than others.

However if you could stretch to buy a zma or 220 , nothing like it.

has to be the 220 or the zma. Or a second hand T-bird if you can get your hands on a good one.

The avenger is not bad either, but only for a single rider.
