Topic Approved.

I would, anyday, say go for the Ninja 250R than go for a used (and probably illegal) 600cc machine. No real fun spending 4 odd lakhs first to search for a 600cc in that price range and afterwards getting one and in-turn getting a 'headache' with it (if you know what I mean).

Getting a Brand new 250R is more sensible. Its a really nice package. I would for sure go for this Green baby once i start earning.
Getting a used 600cc isnt suggested. Its illegal. Secondly no one knows how it has been maintained.

Feel the pride of owning a brand new bike!

yup, the pride & joy of owning a 250R is good, but getting smoked by a 600 isn't(hey hey!)
thats why i said lot of footwork shall be involved and with him posted in mumbai/pune region it isn't that tough, rest his luck, patience, bargaining skills and contacts
i hope you do not mean to say that all 600's in India are illegal...
