First of all Gautam, A very warm welcome to XBHP. Secondly, Congrats for getting the FZ, it's a great bike, take care of her. Do make sure that you run the engine in before taking her out to the highway coz once you see those empty roads, you'll instinctively twist your wrist which ain't good for the new engine. Although coming to your question, I don't think that a temporary registration number would cause you any problems whether you ride in the city or on highways.

Lastly, We here at XBHP try to avoid use of SMS language, as it's hard to make out what one's saying most of the time in SMS lingo. So, kindly make sure that you stick to proper english from now onwards.

Ride Safe. Always wear a lid.

the suggestion wud be to wait till u get a proper license as well as registration till u move out on to the highway...y spend mullah to pay ur local policewalla if u get caught...jus better to wait till u have the proper papers and regs...

As a responsible XBHPian, my opinion would be is to wait until you complete the RTO formalities. Obtain a permanent registration number, the challan/receipt from RTO stating that you've registered the bike(as I understand that it takes about 3-4 weeks to obtain RC book) & proof of purchase (receipt from Yamaha dealer) & the insurance ofcourse whether you hit the highway or the city.

Happy & safe motoring
