Hi All,
Wishing you all a very happy and prosperous new year. Guys I am planning to buy a new bike but really confused. So asking for help me to decide which one is better. I have short listed Apache RTR Fi(Orange color) / Yamaha FZ / Pulsar 135. I am 5 5"/65 kgs. Requirements are : 1.Good Handling 2.City commuting (25 + 25) per day and occasional tourer. 3.Average mileage -40-45 My heart says go for apache but hearc about lots of problem(Also so many times discussed in the threads). Inclination towards all light weight bike, as will drive after a long time.... SO guys please help me out from this situation... ![]()

Two cents: All these bikes are good. RTR could be a bit tiresome for long commute with its aggressive riding position. FZ would be nice, relaxed city bike but average may not touch 45 - expect around 40 in sane riding condition. P135 - though new, got really good reviews. Even XBHP's first impression was really good for this bike. So I would suggest test ride to check handling and comfort. Do some digging to know about mileage of FZ and initial buyers reviews for P135. Handling wise all three should be great, specially FZ and RTR are proven good handlers. All three bikes are light with lightest P135 being about 14kgs lighter in kerb weight. I don't think your height would be an issue for any of these bikes, but I personally(being not taller either), like RTR really good handler. |

the bikes u have chosen are of 2 different classes....the pulsar 135 in one and the fz16 and the rtr in other...
for handling and city riding my vote goes to the fz16...nothin beats the fz in dat department ...most would agree to this fact... the mileage department they would be placed in this order: 1.p135 2.rtr 3.fz cause of the rear tyre fz fails in this regard.... you say ur inclination is towards a light weight bike then i think fz is the lightest of the 3...not sure of the p135's weight but the fz is made totally of fibre and has one of the lightest kerb weights in the segment....

The best way to judge the bike is to take a test ride of each to see what you feel about it. And then probably get in touch with actual owners of the bikes to learn about its pros and cons.

My vote goes for the RTR fi...it does have its share of niggles but that shouldn't keep you from buying it...FZ is a great bike, but it fails to meet your mileage requirements.dunno about the P135 but many of em have given it a thumbs up.Better have a TD of it and decide...I feel RTRs cc advantage helps it to score brownie points over the baby pulsar

Apart from difference in engine cc, there is a huge difference between the price of the P135LS and the Apache RTR Fi/Yamaha FZ. The RTR Fi and the FZ has an ex showroom (Delhi) price of around Rs. 66,000 and the P135LS's got an ex-showroom (Delhi) price of around 51,000 (Somebody correct me if I am worng in the prices). Approximately 15K difference in price..!! |
