It would have been generous if you were honest and This shows you are mad at your ZMR, even when you treat the ZMR like a 100CC it would run less than 40Kpl in Highways and that is what I have experienced in a ZMR which was in mint condition and many of my friends who own a ZMR.

Within city its even less, in the range between 30-35Kpl.

Off course Mr XYZ after buying ZMR with your words is not going to come back complain against you. Am sure we are not traders, so lets post accurate info to help others.

post in ZMR ownership thread & ask yourself what mileage other guys are getting..a new ZMR returns mileage figures around 38kmpl & after 1 or 2 services ZMR start returning mileage over 40kmpl..last time i myself got a mileage figures of exact 44.2kmpl while i measured it according full to empty tank method..

even ZMA returns mileage figures around 35kmpl & after HH introduced PGM-FI in it its mileage figures jumped over 40kmpl..

yes i get arround 35 in mixed ride conditions from my ZMA...my usage includes city and Highway ,slow & fast riding..

pretty true. i have run my zmr 680kms in last week from sun-sun and she consumed fuel of 1150rs. here the price is 67.7/l approx so this gives me the mileage of 40kmpl approx under mixed conditions.

I have faced the front fairing vibration at speeds above 80kmph. I was told at the showroom/service center on complaining that this was a common problem with the ZMR and cannot be fixed, despite me offering to get the side panels replaced.

I have gotten used to it especially with my helmet which muffles the sound a lot but it is not a pleasant note to hear.

I am yet to confirm the same with other ZMR owners as none of my friends have one.

Apart from that it is a really awesome bike to ride and I would get one even today despite the minor niggles. No other problems in my 1year 4months old ZMR.

check if any nut got loosen or if speedo console/visor is making rattling noise..sometimes these small things can create these kind of irritating sound & we keep doing tightening of fairing..

I actually enjoy a mileage of 45-48 on a regular commute basis

. Couple of months back i had done a round trip of 780 kms and i did it without a single refuel on the way, i myself found it absurd

It was while collecting my bike after servicing that I asked him that. Maybe that guy wasn't interested to fix it. I will ask again during the next one.

Thats awesome. I get no more than 35kmpl on mine.

Yes very true it is The most important factor affecting any bike's mileage.
My ZMA gives 32 Km in city and 43 on the highway. In City my speed is between 40 to 70 while on the highway it is 80 to 110..
ZMA-R without lower fairing is a good city & tourer without getting affected by side,cross,tail or head on wind force.

No need to adjust the clip-ons. They are already raised, making the stance almost the same as ZMA. This will actually help on long rides in protecting your chest from the wind blast.

Battery is MF type in ZMR&I think now ZMA is also coming with it. It will not cause problems. My R15 battery is running fine since more than 3 years, no problems yet, touchwood. I have left for a month unused more than once.
If the battery runs out, push start the bike&it will get charged while running, unless it is completely dead.

Tubeless better in this aspect. It will be back on road within 5 mins. No tyre/wheel dismantling required. Can be done by you or any puncture repair shop has it. On long rides, I carry the kit. If punctured, head to nearest tyre shop, give him the tools&ask him to repair the puncture after filling air.
Alloys will not bend if you are maintaining right tyre pressure.

The idea of PGM-Fi is not to have maintenance. ECU contains coding for all conditions, so you need not adjust AFR etc. Run with good quality fuel (Extra Premium etc.) or use additives. There will never be a problem.
After about 20-25K kms., you can get the injectors cleaned at the SVC, a 2 min. job. of spraying like deodorant into the injectors.

Though both the bikes make about the same power, the ZMR does have extra features&has got the oomph factor.
If you are not planning to use the bike for commuting&don't mind spending the extra amount, go with the ZMR, I'd say. Premium bike.
If you wanna commute with it also its pretty fine I think. I do on my R15.
You can even close the mirrors in traffic/tight parking if you like.
Don't worry about the fairing, ground clearance, rims etc.
I have offroaded my R15, used it on smooth highways, crossed small rivers, climbed footpaths, tried most of the things. These bikes are made to handle everything. Only we should not overestimate them.
