Hi Guys,
I want to go for a bike which gives a good performance. R15 impressed me but that is out of budget. Looking for a bike within 90K. My options are Fz-series/Apache RTR180/Pulsar 180/Hunk/Karizma-R. I like to take the bike to its full limit is terms of speed. A fuel average around 40km/hr would be fine for me. I am not able to decide which bike to go for. Looking for some valuable advice!!!!! Some questions that I have about the above bikes are : Apache RTR180 : This bikes interests me but scared of vibes. Plz tell me does this bike has vibration as it had in the prev models and whats its FE? Pulsar180 : FE????? Karizma-R : FE????? |

Confession for being confused is it?????
![]() firstly, whats your preference ???city commuting/Touring/stunting etc etc...... Why I asked you this question is that Karizma-R:Tailor made for touring in India, with a decent FE of 40-42Kmpl.Refined engine in its class. Pulsar 220( why go for a 180 when you can get lots of more features for little price more) or Apache: Not sure about Apache but P220 is a devil for the price it comes with.FE around 35-38Kmpl. Fz series: Though i like the bike very much for its handling and styling, its not quite practical for the simple reason that its not practical. If you are a student and having a girlfriend with a small butt, this is the one you should go for to spoil your teenage . But very uncomfortable for people of the opposite butt size or even ladies(may be you mom, aunt or whosoever it is ).ALL THE ABOVE STATEMENTS ARE OF PERSONAL OPINION, NO OFFENCES INTENDED.

My p180 gives me 45kmpl
fz's on normal ripping cruising give around 40kmpl Dunno about fe of apache 180 karizma returns fe on 35-40kmpl and btw if you "take the bike to its limit" all time then you should either forget about 40kmpl or change your riding style.... PS:whats up with the wierd thread title?

The RTR 180 surely has vibrations. Even though its a high performing bike it does vibrate a lot.
Considering that you want to take bike to its "full limit" the RTR would give around 40kmpl, the P180 around 45 and the Karizma around 35. The P220 would also give around 35 but its 'full limit' is higher than the other three. And forget FZ. Not that good in "full limit" or FE.

This what I intended to write but made a typo error. .....Sorry for the mistake guys!!!!!!!!! I need the bike for cruising at high speeds. I had considered P220(faired) but somehow cannot rely on Bajaj for engine life and maintenance over longer period. My concern for maintenance is because once I get a bike, would not be changing it untill the world ends. Hence the concern for maintainance. On the other hand Karizma R is already in the final shortlist. Just venturing out some other options. |

Go for Karizma R/ZMR. It doesn't really matter.
Would advice against RTR (high maintenance), Pulsar (rigid n tough but there is no guarantee that you will get 35kmpl after 3years). To take karizma to its full limit, its quite tough and time consuming.
