Default The Perfect All Rounder

Hi I am Bangalore based guy who is looking at my third motorcycle and am looking at buying a 4 stroke machine for my daily commuting needs and a little more. Basically I am looking for an all rounder - that excels in saving my money on petrol and does everything else too - a good all round commuter . My budget is inside the 1 lac bracket. My needs are as follows :

Excellent Milage
Reliability
Excellent Build Quality
Good handling
Sturdy Chassis
Strong suspension
Simple Machine
Easy to maintain
No problem with spares

thats the list . please come out with your suggestions and tell me why you think they would be the best .

Thank you.

No problem with spares : Stay away from Suzuki/Honda/Herohonda atleast for this.

Answers in Bold. Dude, you seem to want an allrounder bike. In that case, you need to go for the 125cc (D125,Shine,Stunner,Slingshot) or the commuter 150 segment (D150,SZ)
You can probably check out the Stunner or the SZ-R.

Sir you need not go for a 1 lac budget. Actually your criteria is a bit confusing. You have a large budget and you are aking for excellent mileage. A specified mileage bracket will help us suggesting you a bike.

If you are asking for a good commuter with great mileage, good handling, good bulid and reliability, I would suggest you to take a look at the Honda Twister(110cc). If you want a bigger bike(say 125-150cc) you will have to sacrifice on the mileage part(150cc-45-55kmpl and 125cc-50-60kmpl). Whereas 100ccs will be more efficient.

Pls be a little more specific so that people around can give you a good bunch of options.

Yamaha SZr /Dicvover 150(both are perfect commuters)
Yamaha-less milage(around 50kmpl),more performance,good looks / Discover-more milage(>55kmpl), less performance,average looks.

If you can leave the first point and ok with 40ish mileage the rest of of the points will be over satisfied by FZ16..and you can go for the new cbz extreme also.

+1. Honda Unicorn. If not 150cc then it is Honda Shine.

hi guys thank you for all your suggestions. i am sorry for not being specific and being quite confused myself. For now - i just want a machine to get me from point A to point B in the smoothest possible way. A scooter is not off the card either. My criteria is

Excellent Mileage
Good Build Quality
Good Low end Torque for city commuting
Any added utilities after meeting above said criteria would be a bonus.

I have decided to spent the least possible on this purchase if possible (used bike ?) because i hope on buying a bigger cc bike a little later - I really love the KTM baby Duke - just hope it turns out to be a 200cc torque bomb and i also hope there will be better ZMA like bikes here by year end too ( fingers and toes crossed ) . Looking at making the best possible decision. Thanks for the help guys, keep it coming.

@raja_roadster: Other 2 bikes are gas guzzling Yamaha 2 strokes.

One straight answer - There's no perfect bike be it Ducati or Discover. One need's to understand the pros & cons of any bike & live with it.

I keep saying all the time - DEFINE THE REQUIREMENT
