Default Help need a BIke for touring

Hi all,

I Have sold my previous 2 bikes mentioned below and need a new set of wheels.
Previously owned : Cbz Xtreme V1- A very good all rounder, excellent Handling.
Pulsar 220 S - A thorough Hooligan. A bit nervous around corners.

My usage of bike will be occasionally 60kms round trip of highway on weekdays and 1000 kms round trip once a month. I need a bike that is comfortable at cruising on highway at triple digit speed.
I had finalized Pulsar 220 F due to its night riding capabilities plus its low cost spares & easy availability of the same.
Now I'm in big dilemma whether to buy existing pulsar 220f or wait for upgraded offering from Bajaj. Will it be sensible to buy 220 f knowing
it will upgraded few months down the line? or should i buy Yamaha RXG for the time being till the Bajaj update its range as i cannot wait.
Or should i buy Apache180 ABS version which is a city scorcher which has decent touring capability or ZMA - R which is extremely capable tourer but getting old.
My budget is 80k to 1.2 lac's.

I'll suggest wait for Bajjaj to come up with something new and upgraded.. Or else go for ZMA.. It really is a great machine...

I have the same confusion. Rife a ZMA as of now. Love its performance. But looking for an upgrade. P220 with its fairing has stole my aatention. What to do???

Except for the triple digit speed cruise-ability(Which is dangerous for Indian roads,IMO).......You are venturing into RE Territory. You can have a look at them if you are not against Bullets/RE's!Otherwise it's a Karizma ZMR you are looking at/for

Since you have budget upto 1.2lacs, RE Thunderbird is the best choice.

Tbird costs 'around' 1.25 on road. I would suggest that instead of waiting for the 'new Pulsar' whenever it comes with whatever changes in features and price, get the one as it is. Its pretty good. Or go for the time tested ZMA if you are doubtful. It is much lesser in trouble and maintenance.

you already have the 220 S , so it would be better to go for ZMA or ZMR...

I'd say stretch your budget a little & go for a CBR 250R.heard that many people are getting FE between 35-40 kmpl with mixed city & highway riding & since you gonna use it for touring i think CBR will be the best buy.
