ZMA-R is better than ZMR for touring because of the huge fairings which will be a problem in cross winds.

The word TOURING says it all... Go for an Enfield. If you'r worried about the headaches about to be or about the speed and vibes then ZMA's the best option you've got. Its got all the pro's of a bull as well as newage perks.

crosswind won't be a problem for any decent rider as within few minutes any rider adjusts himself in those situation & as per my experience with both these bikes, ZMR feels more stable on highways be it its extra weight or any other reason, its crisp as well..& on high altitude its lambda sensor will be a boon for any rider as it'll kill the pain of tuning your bike's AFR according to the surroundings..it got better suspensions on both wheels having iGRS for better comfort of pillion rider..better FE which is so important while you are on a tour..better braking..better headlamps for night riding..so i don't feel any solid point which makes ZMA-R a better tourer then a ZMR..

@topic - yeah CBR250R is a better option but as of now owners are facing few problems with it(refer to its ownership thread) like paint peeling off..with tires..n few others, so i would say if you can wait till January's auto expo then you might get a better steed for your needs

I hope you have ALSO ridden ZMR & specially in wind
& the Karizma owner who putted all ZMR fairing , whose snaps you posted is 100% not a tourer & that's why he putted all those parts
Please read the "The ZMA brother out on the prowl" travel log & specially this post http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/2...tml#post719948
